We bought the cheapest Toyota Corolla in the country to see how much money we can make with it. But this time we're going to try and repair, fix and paint it in just 3 hours. It won't be easy and we'll need to call in some help to get it done before we sell it. And all going well we'll make a decent profit...
Big thanks to Dave from Custom Spray Mods for helping out in this video / @customspraymods

Dear Moog, Been watching you two for over a decade. I love your stuff and the reason I work on my own cars is because of MCM. This video is great and you perfectly showed how to make a profit with a used car. Having said that, Marty's Subaru, that he made no money on, was the best MCM videos of the last few years. He didn't flip a car, he restored one and brought it back to life. With your last 2 videos, you've shown us 2 different approaches to fixing a car and you each did a perfect job. Thank you for the years of amazing content. Watching your channel has helped get me through some rough times in my life. I can always come to MCM and feel like I'm hanging with an old friend. Doing this to cars takes KNOWLEDGE. The kind of knowledge of the platform and brand problems and easy fixes that most normal people have no clue about. You earned every penny you made on that car because it takes a VERY specific skill set to save the car and replace the things that need it. Not to mention that you take a risk on unknown problems that can pop up once you remove that panel and really see what's underneath it! You make it sound easy but it is almost never that easy! Kudos to you and keep saving cars out there man!

I had a E12 Corolla hatchback TS with the 2ZZ-GE for ten years and it also suffered from a massive water leak in the boot. Took me some time to find what it was caused by. It was the boot door´s seal ! It´s cliped on a sheet metal edge that´s two layers of sheet metal, beside the part where the catch sits. I´ve ended up glueing the seal on what solved the issue. On a side note: If the seal is pulled and put back on with the bumper on the car the seal wont sit correctly with the outer lip against the car´s body what adds up to the issue with the partly single layer edge.

Id say more like how to make 1000$ a day cus this deff took you guys like 3 days at least + a team of friends , still i think its doable as a solo car flipper with some elbow greese but it might take a little more than 3 hours 😅 . Still definitely profitable especially if you tryed to get more $ for it , also did he mention the mileage?

I bought a Colt that wouldn't start, and was filthy inside. $900 with 9 months rego. Tow $120. Fixed stuck open injector with percussive maintenance. Serviced $110, cleaned inside $10 in chemicals, set of tyres and alignment $440, new floormats and seat covers $90. Pulled a few dents, touched up chips, polished and waxed $30 in materials. Touchscreen headunit with bluetooth off gumtree $50. Bout 10 hours of labour all up. Drove it like I stole it for 2 months and sold it for over $6k within four hours of posting it. This was in 2018 and I still see it around.

I think that scam is done where they get the seller's email and then scam the email with fake transfer failures due time fake transfer limit and then ask seller to transfer some money to their account to fix it and then do a runner... As long as seller's are aware of those tactics there's nothing wrong with leaving a genuine deposit
@jarlnieminen4307
@jarlnieminen4307 2 ай бұрын
@sAmiZZle82 that is but one way. It's actually very difficult to get your money back when you do a legitimate deposit directly to the person. It has to be proven that you really were prevented from completing the purchase.

I bought a WRX with a swimming pool in the back and I was forever chasing myself trying to rid the car of that stank. It made your clothes smell which was just gross. Reason for the leak? The idiot who resprayed it, sprayed the wing with the seals on, didn’t change them, and stuck it back on. Was a bit of a sus car and sus purchasing experience, and I made $30 for like, tens of hours faffing around I also made my own tail light seals with some foam from Clark rubber by tracing out the originals onto cardboard then cutting them out. Worked a charm!

Toyota actually designed the Corolla to last for hundreds of thousands of miles with absolutely no maintenance whatsoever but still run and drive fine. They knew the people that buy Corollas would know nothing about cars and would never maintain them. And this and all the other Corollas out there are proof of this marvel of Japanese engineering.
