You're completely ignoring purpose of the object. If I paint my walls white and that i'd obviously be annoyed if someone did what you said. But my walls are not meant for people to get their shit on. Shoes however are supposed to protect your feet (I of course know how it's not as simple as that nowadays though). Now let's say I misheard or something and the guy who stood on his Js on PURPOSE, now then I can see the fuss, not quite to that degree, but definitely frustration. But if it's an accident?
