I started listening to Migos' songs because I just saw ASAP Ferg saying how they can actually rap but on Trap beats.... My thoughts: Yes 90s rap was A LOT more thought provoking...although I understand that this style is more about "hype" then the lyrics...these guys are really creative and actually can (t)rap and so far Brokanese is the best example of it...

they got that cartoony trap style to them, I like it. you can tell they purposely put humor in their lyrics too. Everybody needs to shut the fuck up and stop taking music so seriously, yeah content wise it's pretty generic but there's not many trap rappers that rap in double time or have clever rhyme schemes like them.

people take music so seriously because music is extremely emotional and inspirational to certain people on multiple levels. When those people see crap being thrown out on the market its hard not to react that way. When you get people like me who love music to death and then you happen to run across someone yelling "Hannah Montana" over and over again (Versace) it's irritating. It depends on the person.

I agree with the post beneath mine. These beats are engineered in the trap style. This means that the bass lines are mathematically as loud as possible. Also the lyrics speak of drug slang in the celebration of using and selling drugs. Sure its not a long term career decision that any rational person would make, but for these young gentleman it appears to have many benefits.
