Hi Patricia, First, before you can get a 189 visa, you would have your qualification and experience assessed to meet Australian teaching standards and have you registration as a teacher. That will make you eligible to apply for teaching jobs on arrival. In terms of accommodation, you find your own accommodation since it’s not employer sponsorship. For state, 189 is not a state sponsorship visa so you decide which state to live in. You can choose any state of choice under 189 visa but different from 190 which restricts you to a particular state that you got nominated for and visa. I hope this helps

It depends on what you want to teach. To migrate as a skilled teacher, music teacher is not part of the area of teaching on the list for migration

You need to have a minimum of 4yrs qualification in either early childhood, primary, middle or secondary school teaching or any other special education programs. Hi , No this is not possible IELTS testing is a complete module of 4. There’s no exemption in any situation

You’ll need ielts to be able to apply for assessment It is a requirement

If you don’t get in first attempt, you can write it again but for some occupations like teaching you need to submit one text score, which means you cannot combine two IELTS tests
