Great fighter I've always admired Miguel Cotto can understand why the Puerto Rican people are so proud of him he is an absolute legend in and out of the ring. When he got his revenge on the cheating concrete hand wrap Margarito was one of my favourite boxing moments of all time! Hope he has a good retirement it's well earned!

I'm a big fan of Cotto. I'm concerned Miguel's speech seemed slurred at times. He's delivered some big shots and received his share as well. I hope he retires. He's a legend go out healthy and enjoy the fruits of your labor.

scoobytru cotto looked good against canelo, long layoff. He doesn't win a lot of fights at 147 but he certainly doesn't get washed. Guerrero no. Bradley no. Porter is a good fight and he beats berto

It's not a good style for him. Trout completely took him by surprise in their fight. You could tell Trout just had the style to frustrate Cotto. At that point in his career it didn't make sense to take a risk fighting Trout again.

hispanic88 I've been watching Cotto since he had nappy hair as an upcoming fighter on HBO. He just doesn't sound the same here especially at the very beginning when he starts speaking. I know it's not his native tongue that he's speaking here but he looks and sounds very fatigued here I'm hoping it's just that and nothing else.

To answer Elie's rude question, Cotto should retire because he's clearly taken too many beatings in his illustrious career already. He received frightful beatings against Antonio Margarito, Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao, and even light hitters like Austin Trout and Joshua Clottey. He is an accident waiting to happen. He is no longer a world class fighter, and will probably receive lots of punishment against a warrior like Kamegai.

bengolfs1 cotto has always been a warrior, becouse of all those wars that he has been in. thats why his style has change over the years. his last fight was againts canelo. a boxer that had every advantage againts cotto in that fight. except cotto's experience and i saw the fight canelo winning by 1 point 2 rds tops. and he didnt look bad in that fight. cotto vs kamegai will be an entertaining fight. kamegai will come at cotto all night .

I think Canelo showed Cotto too much respect in their fight. If he would have fought a phone booth warfare with Cotto, he would have bruised him up and stopped him like he did James Kirkland and Liam Smith. I like Cotto, and I just don't want to see him getting knocked out and becoming a steppingstone for other up-and-coming fighters. He doesn't deserve that.
