MIGUEL'S MISSED HIGH POTENTIAL IN TEKKEN 8! (Rant)

Tekken 8 is almost a month away and the base roster has been set and we're ready to tackle the Tekken 8 Story when the game is released. One character that will not be on the Tekken 8 base roster is Miguel, a character that many people almost had circled to be a sure lock into the Tekken 8 base roster but it didn't happen. Miguel is a character that has a very strong and deep story when it comes to the Tekken story overall and I feel that alone makes him deserving to return in Tekken 8 as far as DLC is concerned. But if Miguel does return his story potential can be very strong and can have a huge impact in the Tekken 8 story involving Jin Kazama & Miguel's history!

It definitely makes sense for Miguel to return in Tekken 8. He still wants revenge on Jin for what happened to his sister and I don't blame him.

The truth is I can't help but compare these two and see Miguel as a really important character in the Tekken franchise, they have a great parallel between the two of them, they have both lost someone they cared about in their life and they are both going to a path of revenge. Without a doubt, the Spanish man has so much potential that I even dare to say that he could be the protagonist.

I dont see Miguel taking over the zaibatsu. But i can totally see him as a boss character. You gotta remember, theres only 2 characters in the whole franchise with a one hit kill move: Miguel, and Ancient Ogre. Miguel is powerful enough to kill Jin without the devil gene but the question is will he?

It makes sense NOT to have Miguel in T8, just to focus on Jin's development and ending with the devil gene storyline and his mom/dad.... Also remember Miguel said he was gonna wait till Jin was happy to have his vengeance and destroy everything he loves.... Guess Miguel can appear now in Tekken 9 and will find funny that he sees a happy Jin doing a road trip with pretty cute love interest Xiaoyu.... Miguel enters ... PAYBACK IS A BITCH....

Miguel really should have been in the base roster of Tekken 8 instead of Leo and Shaheen and if he will be part of the main story of Tekken 8 before or during the DLC, I don't want him to kill Jin Kazama because even though Jin has done some bad things (Jin is not a bad guy like Kazuya or Heihachi. He's actually chaotic neutral, not evil.), revenge isn't the answer of what happened to his sister just like King let Craig Marduk alive while he tried to kill him in a hospital in order to avenge the first Armor King's death because he realized that revenge is not the answer. That's what I think Miguel should do the same.

Even tho Leo can be boring and bland at time, at least she has a connections with G corporation. If anything, Asuka should’ve gotten the boot since provides no relevance to the main story besides her stupid catfight rivalry with Lili.

His Tekken tag 2 ending expresses that he may be getting over the situation, but I’m not sure if that was canon.

It would be interesting seeing Miguel return for TEKKEN 8, but here's my take on it: Miguel, having a burning desire to get retribution on Jin for killing his sister, would likely join G Corporation as Kazuya would exploit Miguel's quest for revenge as a means to recruit him. Either way, it would make no sense for Miguel to just disappear during a time like this just like it made no sense for Bruce to just disappear without explanation after Kazuya sent him to capture Jin. Also, the way the Japanese are when it comes to prioritizing themselves in their corporations, I don't see them allowing Miguel as a character to run the Mishima Zaibatsu. G Corporation, on the other hand, is a different story.

zafina story in tekken 7 was canon I think so we might have a chance. But you've just touched an interesting point Miguel might be a better rival for Jin than Hwoarang but is the tekken fan base ready for this conversation idk

It's very unique, he is the only one without any training but realistic in his way to fight, a lone wolf that hates rules and discipline but sure he hits hard, in a sloppy but very effective way.

At the no Devil Gene part, that is correct. As Hwoarang defeated Jin in T5. So if he can do it, Miguel can as well. I even forgot those 2 were part of Resistance stable in Scenario Campaign, hopefully he and Hwoarang would also have a rare interaction, but it's a massive long shot 🤷‍♀

I hope so. I’ve been playing Tekken tag tournament 2 recently and coming back to it. I’ve been playing Miguel quite a bit. He’s my main as a tag with Kazuya so I really hope he comes in as a DLC so I can have my boy back.

I can not really say I played much as Miguel. However, It could be a interesting concept to have him to see him team up with Lei Wulong do a Lei Wulong is brought back for DLC and he creates a 3rd faction that stands against between Kazuya and Jin as a private security company fight both Miguel could see this as a opportunity to get back at Jin by working with or alongside Lei Wulong if he think's it'll get him closer to Jin.

It doesn't matter if he comes as a dlc. As long as he isn't part of the base roster, he will not be in the main storyline.

Jin Kazama is a tragic hero type kazuya is a tragic villain type. 5:26 a what if story ending,just like Marvel comics what if series,as an example.

Yeah, one of the things makes jin and kazuya legend is their moral complexity. Unfortunately, tekken 8 made jin complete good hero guy and made kazuya flat ordinary villain as far as what we see.

Tekken 1,2 and Tag Kazuya were more Intresting than Modern Kazuya Moral Wise. Tekken Tag Kazuya Didn't just Murder Jin heartless like Tekken 4 Kazuya but actually just smirked cockily

My main Miguel is not in the based roster. He should have not be in DLC rosters. But my lee chaolan is based roster I'm happy but Miguel in dlc is not good.

Bro since the first story teaser trailer earlier this year of T8, I knew Miguel was getting left out because he would’ve been shown, bro gave to hands to Jin 🔥 obviously he could’ve made it base roster over bum ass Leo and shaheen any day. I’ll have to find a new character (prob DJin) since Miguel is gone .
