An uncommonly gifted young writer, Ms. Hazama's recordings have all been enjoyable. They are a refreshing break from the usual complicated Bob Brookmeyer/Maria Schneider style modern big band writing which quite frankly I'm sick of. I love her unique instrumentation also. This band can wail when it wants to! Well done.
