Not at all. If anything, she's backed off a bit from the speed events to concentrate on the increased level of competition in the tech disciplines. Five of her six SG wins, half of her podium finishes and eight of fifteen top five finishes were before her father's death. It's a similar story in DH, but with smaller numbers.

It is deeply satisfying for this grandfather to watch Mikaela evolve from young daddy's girl, tragedy, then disappointed Olympian to fulfilled young woman. It must be tough living one's life in public but she does it gracefully and candidly. Certainly major congratulations to her mother as well.

@@krist.7419 IMO, That is true for a couple that has been only dating for a few weeks or mouths. How many years have they been dating? Also, their common interest in show ski racing is enormous. Some couples never find that kind of commonality in a relationship. IMO, neither one of them will ever find a better match. But it's Alek's question to ask her and I don't know what he is wanting on.
