This was 10 almost exactly 10 years ago. Today is August 24 2022. The Mets have been having a magical season. It’s a total opposite scenario than This date in 2012 that that particular Mets team seems like it never even existed. The narrative has changed. The Mets have new ownership in a smart Businessman Steve Cohen replacing The Wilson’s. A proven veteran manager in Buck Showalter. Many Mets fans and non Mets fans have been waiting for a Mets late summer collapse and it has not happened with a week to go until September. To be fair, the Mets came off a magnificent win in Philadelphia on Sunday August 21 but lost 2 games straight at Yankee stadium. They are now 1 and a half game over Atlanta for the first place. It will be a competitive last 5 weeks of the season. I really hope Buck can lead the Mets to a 2022 division title in the NL East. That would be huge in this Mets new era under Buck. But gladly the franchise as a whole is looking so much more optimistic than it was in 2012. LFGM!
