Mike wasn't mad at the beat reporter because the Beat reporter was repeating what the Jets told him. He was mad at the beat reporter for not knowing the rules and pressing the Jets on the bullshit answer. If this beat reporter said, "Mike. I called them out on their answer and they eventually hung up on me and didn't respond". Mike Francesca wouldn't have blown up on him.
