The Government is reportedly reviewing plans to fast-track the removal of asylum seekers from designated “safe” countries in an effort to tackle the Channel migrant crisis.
Home Secretary Suella Braverman is looking at resurrecting a list of countries deemed by the Home Office to be safe, according to The Times.
More than 42,600 migrants have arrived in the UK so far this year and Channel crossings continued on Tuesday.
The Ministry of Defence said 426 migrants made the journey on Monday in seven boats - an average of about 61 people per boat. The overall average for 2022 is around 40, according to officials.
Last night, some Albanians took to the streets of London to celebrate Albanian Independence Day, blocking roads outside Parliament.
The Spectator's Gavin Mortimer criticised the celebrations as "goading the British public".

In a small way i don't blame the Albanians for celebrating and rubbing our noses in it. Because we're not stopping them and still they come. It's been well known for a long time there's a lot of criminality within the Albanian community. These people still coming are going to be employees for these gangs and still they come. I'm 62 now so won't be around for too much longer thankfully to see the future. I have no children or grandchildren thankfully because what future do the young people and future generations have. Because it looks like this country is stuffed sadly.

I’m Albanian and I have been working 2 jobs for 15 years I own a G class that doesn’t make me bad all this is been a propoganda about all Albanians been bad. Wow, there is so much xenophobia on here! I’m Albanian and I live in Canada. We always celebrate our Independence Day here in Canada and it is never seen as goading anyone. On the contrary, everyone is happy here in Canada to see other people celebrate their own culture and identity. You people may have other problems going on in your lives that may cause so much frustration but xenophobia is not going to help you. It’s completely outrageous to give right to Albanians when there is nothing wrong in own their country. It is shameful when people from other countries coming here and celebrating their own Independence Day. If they care and have so much pride of their country what are they doing here. Current Government needs to take serious action against the Albanian and deport them ASAP. This country can’t sustain anymore people coming here to settle...already it’s overly crowded and overly populated.
