I wish I could have a one on one for 1 hour with Mike teaching me. I like his natural style. You always look like I feel when I am on my kit. HAPPY! EVERY drummer should at least take that with them. Thanks Mike

Well damn, here I am 3 years after being this and not knowing a thing about Steve Jordan or the JM3 and taking so much in from Mr Johnston. Steve and John's music changed my way of playing and way of listening to music drastically. Funny how things come back around.

Does anyone have the sticking for the lick at 4:30?
@topherstott12 жыл бұрын
i am not talking about the loops that mike uses AT ALL. I am talking about the music used in the front of the video with the Sam Ash logo, that is a canned loop from Garageband, my point is that sam ash should use one pf their many musical employees to write something instead of using canne stuff that is all. no slag on mike at all. it was slag in the store. i guess that wasn't clear

what is song at 3:20 ?
@topherstott12 жыл бұрын
To be clear, I am not talking about any of the loops in Mike's lessons, he does his own thing, I have great respect for him. I was talking about the music that opens the video over the Sam Ash Logo - they are using free loops out of Garageband. My point is, that Sam ash employs a ton of capable musicians in their stores and they still choose to use canned music. That, in my opinion is lame, what maybe worse is that perhaps they themselves never even thought about it. No Disrespect to Mike

I wish I could be there to ask what it was at 10:18 Anyone know?
@pavlonwilcz565010 жыл бұрын
Double strokes - R R Kick Kick R R K K R R K K. The fisrt one is played on a stick lying on the rim, then he moves it around.

he looks like he's having a good time with the intro song, however he attacks the drums so hard, everything sounds harsh without any varied dynamics.

if you are putting a drum clinic in "a music store" on video... why don't you mics to those drums to make it sound at least decent? :/
@paulvreugdenhildrums9 жыл бұрын
At 9.10 he says: 'we are not meant to dance' This is in my opinion NOT true! When a drummers play's a groove you don't want anything else than dance!!! In your head or with your body. I think he was wrong there...
@erpaloinen8 жыл бұрын
It was a joke, as in white people aren't meant to dance.
@topherstott12 жыл бұрын
is anyone else disappointed that a music store is using garageband music loops? Good video, great player, just lame they they support and employ how many thousands of musicians but still uses canned music. I call lame
