That's funny to hear you guys say that, I grew up in Southern Nevada and back in the day a lot of the old-timers would have an accent, I liken it to a Texas accent in many ways but it was it's own thing. Just like everywhere else in the southwest, there are so few families that have been here for that long that I haven't heard someone talk like that in forever, and if I did I would probably assume they were from the south.

This probably isn't the case for the rest of the country (judging by Urban Dictionary, it's not), but at least in the Pacific Northwest I've only ever heard "Good Ol' Boy" used as a byword for racist, corrupt white dudes with local connections in the law enforcement, business, or political establishments of their small towns, *particularly* cops but also extending to everyone from high school football coaches to city clerks. Those kinds of good ol' boys look out for only two things: themselves, and other "good ol' boys", and if you're not one of them or their family members, you're f*ck3d.

Yeah the meaning is different in the south. The "good ol boys" youre reffering too are often said to be part of the "good ol boy's club" meaning they are on the inside and you are not a part of their group. Two different things for sure. @@Vindsvelle

My ex has a pretty friendly neighbor. He moved into his house and a week later and big tree branch was knocked 99% down from my ex's tree. Since my ex had only lived in apartments up to this point he didn't have any tools per se but the neighbor Rob came over with a saw and helped him cut up the tree and the wood has since been used in a fire pit.

Growing up in a small Texas town, I remember our neighborhood was so country I loved it. We’d sit outside our house and have neighbors come up and talk about anything going on in their life. A lot of the husbands were like Hank and the wives like Peggy. I found it so admirable and funny!

To be fair, I first heard of the voice of Hank Hill when I was a kid in the mid-1990's because Mr. Anderson from 'Beavis & Butt-Head' has the same voice, as well. I had no idea Mike Judge was the literal voice until several years later when I saw his name in the credits.

"Hank" is the same voice as Mt Anderson from Beavis and Butthead. My all time favorite line from Mike is in the Beavis & Buthead movie when Mr. Anderson hears a ruckus in his travel trailer and opens the door to find Beavis and Buthead doing what SOUNDS like jagging off. He say, "Hey! I downt wanna see thet!" Out of that whole movie, that line just stuck with me forever.

Ok my name is Robert and of course my parents nicknamed me Bobby. I'm an 80's baby so these two men gave my classmates a lot of ammunition over the years between Howie Mandel's "Bobby's World" and Mike Judge's "King of the Hill", but I'm not hating. These shows provided me with countless childhood memories while growing up. The Monsters movie that Howie made with a young Fred Savage from "The Wonder Years" was also one of my favorites as a kid. A special thanks to both of these gentlemen. My childhood wouldn't have been the same without your work. Much respect 😊.

Literally the handiman voice of all voices. We all know that dad that still has those dorky life jackets from the 90s and drives an old pickup truck. Hes always up by 5 with a cup of coffee, and him and his sons go fishing in the ol pontoon boat. He believes in the 2nd amendment, but he never sees the need to personally carry himself. Thats the hank hill stereotype.

In addition to being a brilliant writer and voice actor, Mike Judge is also an excellent bass guitarist. I was playing with Dale Watson at a little Irish Pub in Austin, TX, back in 2001, when our drummer reached over and poked me with his stick, then pointed to a table near the front of the stage. Sitting there were Mike Judge and Quentin Tarantino. On the break, we invited Mike to come up and sit in to play a few old country standards. He did a great job!

Thanks for reminding that this can happen to anyone, not just older people. When I was naive and younger I almost fell for scammers three times until I stepped back, thought about it for a moment, got my phone out and looked up some informations realizing that it's a scam. It was many years ago when the informations where not out there so much and one of those scammers was not even having an accent and talked in a perfect and professional manner. So yes, be careful. This can happen to anyone. When it sounds too good to be true the most time it is not true.

Easily my favorite Mike Judge voice. I watched so much Beavis and Butthead in high school (01-02) and I copied his voice. My friends always had me to do it and it was absolutely hilarious. Good times. The Tom Anderson/ Hank Hill voice is a classic.

Probably based off a couple of different people he ran into. His original story was that he and his brother went to some guys house to renew the newspaper and the guy kept arguing with them (in the Hank/Anderson voice) that they refuse to accept renewals until the old paperboy came back.

Had a doorknob turn by itself violently in our house every now and then. Sometimes front door, sometimed the back door. You could clearly see no one out the door and yet it would continue and even made a pulling sound rarely and it would make my heart sink everytime. Our aunt when i was a kid lived with us for about 3-4 years and supposedly my mom woke up at 3am for work and walked into the living room because she slept on couch at the time and her body contorted like she was being possessed and stared at my mom in such a way where it obviously deeply troubled her. She called her out in family dinner 😂 and our living room you would always see a head poking in the doorway and when you went to look it would pull back and basically 80percent of people who came over saw it and and my dad would get very mad if i brought it up. Long story short we moved eventually and never experienced anything like that since ive been in 4 or 5 different homes now such a strange house.

King of the Hill is known for many things, but rarely for honorable representation. As a Southerner and a fan, the show never insulted people from the South while comedically touching on many Southern topics.

He’s said before that Tom Anderson was a guy from his childhood that he delivered papers too. I guess he met two people with that exact same voice

To SEE him do the voice is hilarious! I hated KOTH when it was new, but years later, I love it. Thought it would be an excellent show with real people in those characters.
