This song also reminds me of how much better Derek was for the songwriting. Jordan is a brilliant musician, but he has ruined songs by putting in silly parts in otherwise serious songs. In fact, when I caught Dream Theater recently, Jordan looked bored to death. I think he just does it for the paycheck at this point.

Great feel, sound, and interpretation of the music. One of the coolest rock drummers of all time. You either love him or hate him, but there's not denying he is one of the most iconic and imitated drummers of our time, and for good reason.

@@avyonorpheus699 I'm going to disagree with you honestly. Not all drummers and drums sound the same. Each brand even if you tune the drums the same will sound different. And certain drummers have a drum sound that is immediately identifiable.

fan tastic Back in the day, it depended on the producer and engineers to get your sound. Now all you need is Protools and EZDrummer. That's why everything sounds fabricated.

You are so great Mike!! Listening to the part 2:00 to 2:30 I could know its you with blind eyes. That unique way of keeping the china smashing within the drum-snare play... Your tools are always so mighty, no need to overplay, you are the perfect mix of strenght, melody and understanding of hard rock feeling. And no one has ever mixed the hi-hats/splashes/staxx in the fills and patterns as you do.
