I've always known it in my heart, but I now accept that Through The Keyhole was sometimes an impossible game to play and win at. For Mike Reid, of the Frank Butcher variety, there were absolutely zero clues. "Let's look at the evidence.". Said Loyd. "The thatched birdhouse. The electric Stradivarius. The ugly duckling.". Oh, I know. Must be Mike Reid... said nobody, ever. You'd have to go a long way to find three worse clues to the identity of Mike Reid. Through The Keyhole was ludicrous. I love it.

@97channel Mike Reid DID have a hit single in the 1970's with a song called "The Ugly Duckling" and also hosted kid's gameshow Runaround.

As poor clues go it's up there with 321 "a sty full of pigs, that rhymes with figs, fig rolls - rolls royce yes you've guessed it it's a hairdryer!" 😂

@@npc3po301 I've always remembered Frank Skinner talking about 321 clues on Fantasy Football, one time. "Spain... Rhymes with drain... And what does a drain smell like? A dusty bin!".

Good lord, this is a far more ridiculous show than I remember! "It's an artistic person... Cooking? Painting? A performer?" Cue round of applause... so basically just list professions until you get it right! Sweet Jesus, the things that passed for "entertainment" back then

Tarrant seemed to said Savile but was cut though not Cyril Smith.
