Sometimes I tend to overlook muskie water right in my backyard. Central Wisconsin has a lot of musky waters, with the second and third biggest lakes/flowages Castle Rock and Petenwell. I found myself fishing the Petenwell a couple of times last year, and to my surprise, it was well worth the effort.

I grew up fishing that very spot. Actually, I had my lures available just a few blocks away. Outstanding show Mike. I will have a custom available for you opening weekend at your home town bait shop as a gift.

Rivers are some of the least fished Musky fisheries in the upper midwest. There are 50" class in a number of rivers in WI.

just wondering if you have ever fished the La Crosse River? My boys and I caught several nice musky last year out of it the biggest was 46. The lake above the dam has big musky in it too!

When will Mike be giving us Maps of the other rivers and lakes he fishes? Pretty bad to exploit your home water with a map with X's on it. When you don't do this for any other waters that you fish on your show.
