@@PumpedSmartass True but to Bruce Lee's credit. He was known for discarding traditional martial arts techniques in favor of more pragmatic movements as part of his development of Jeet Kune Do (The way of the intercepting fist) which is why he is often credited as "The father of mixed martial arts"

Bruce Lee was an actor. Yes, he created his own martial art but he didn't really put it to the test against actual fighters. Bruce Lee is awesome, but way too mythologized. Ali actually fought people and at weight too.

People underestimate the energy a world class heavyweight boxer can generate. And if we talk about a streetfight, boxers definitely have the upper hand over other martial arts. One hit by someone like Ali in his prime could be a one shot win for someone who isn't trained to take a bus to the face.

I'm 6'4" 220. I'm not saying I'm anything but an amateur fighter, but I can say that when I spar with much smaller guys they are super quick and I can't keep up with them, but their punches aren't as strong. If I can catch them with a solid hit, it's devastating. One solid hit and I could take a much smaller opponent down, if I can catch them. On the same token, I wear out much quicker and lots of smaller hits add up. Don't misunderstand me, I'm by no means a good fighter in terms of weight divisions, but I think what I say generally holds true when you pair a large weight class against a small weight class.

Bruce himself said it was true, every pro fighter would say it’s true. Bruce has no documented fights and trained in a wide variety of martial arts without mastering any (not a bad thing). Muhammad Ali is one of the greatest boxers of all time and defeated some of the most feared boxers in his time, all his fights are documented. Ali also has the weight and reach advantages.

@@FordFourD-aka-Ford4D superman can do impossible shit in some of his iterations, like he has lifted infinity, sneezed away a galaxy, as well as heard a sound someone made on to call him back to earth, which he heard, and travelled like millions of lightyears or something to get back to earth instantly...despite the fact that sound doesnt travel that fast, and he wouldnt have been able to hear it yet even if he COULD fly that fast, which is insane if you're talking about someone who would actually have to fight him, they lose if you wanna talk about xeno vs superman, thats prob the only way the DBZ universe gets a win

In a real fight, no holds barred, Bruce would’ve won. He could split a 60lbs bag with his kicks that were lightning fast. He would’ve taken Ali’s legs out. Ali never trained to defend from attacks like that. Ali was a the greatest sportsman but Bruce was a martial artist and his whole fighting style of Jeet Kune Do was designed for real world (not sport) combat.

Ali would win a boxing match against him, but in any other type of fight Bruce would wipe him. Dude used to put metal plates in his already-heavy punching bags because they swung around too much from how strong his kicks were. A few kicks to Ali’s legs would give Bruce some crucial openings, especially because its not something Ali would be used to defending against in a regular boxing match. Bruce’s kicks are fast, devastating, and allow him to strike from a safer range than in a boxing match. For a modern comparison, there’s a reason Floyd wasn’t willing to step into an octagon with McGregor after promising to do so after their boxing match, and its not just because UFC fight payouts are ass (although I’m sure that’s a factor too tbh). But yea, obviously in a boxing match Ali takes it easily.
