No Matfield in 2nd row? Possibly the most influential player ever at the line-out. What is now recognized as one of the most crucial set pieces. Also, very good with ball in hand. longevity? not too shabby on that score either.

Like it! Just think Williams got so found out on Lions ‘05 tour and reckon Robinson has to be in! Love Blanco but not sure over Cullen! My own opinion obviously and Cullen is my favourite player of all time!

I had exactly the same back line before I watched this and my main toss-up was between Jonny and Carter so I’ll go with half a game each like Tindall and Flats. Surprised he put O’Connell in ahead of John Eales, the man with ‘Nobody’ as his nickname because ‘Nobody’s perfect’! He even kicked for God’s sake!

Wilkinson revolutionised 10-play. A 10 that was so consistent with his kicking that he could suffocate a team with an ever ticking scoreboard plus he was the best defensive 10 ever! And he could run the ball as well in the loose. Not only did he win Eng the WC in ‘03, he very nearly singlehandedly won it again with a much poorer team in ‘07!! It’s a good debate between the two but well worth the debate!!

Mark Riley True, he needed a good pack, but they needed him more. In ‘07 a poor England team went from losing 36-0 to South Africa without Jonny, to getting to the final and putting up a decent fight with him. Carter was better overall, but I’m just about old enough to remember Jonny’s pre-injury days, when he seemed to be man of the match basically every other game or more.
