You're wrong. No doubt it is George Foreman. Foreman started his second boxing career after 1985. Foreman went from a hated fighter that was just rude for no reason, to one of the nicest and most loved athletes. Even turned it into a business empire.

I'm so happy to see Mike as he is today. I've watched him and been fascinated with him all my life. I'm now 53 years old, very lucky to be here. If I was asked what my idea of the ultimate heavyweight champion of the world looks like, I'd say Mike Tyson every day of the week. To me, he's everything the ultimate heavyweight champion of the world should look like. I first saw Mike in 1986, as he prepared to fight Trevor Berbick. I couldn't believe my eyes. A heavyweight fighter who shadow boxed like a flyweight! The world had never seen this before, ever. In June 1988, Mike fought Michael Spinks in the richest fight ever at that time. Spinks had a great record coming from a successful fighting family with successful brothers. I've never seen a fighter so afraid of his opponent pre fight, and rightly so. As Mike prepared in his dressing room, he was punching holes in the dressing room walls, quite unbelievable. Even more ferocious than that, Mike fought Maurice Frazier, son of the late, great Smokin Joe Frazier. Mike was the most devastating I've ever seen him and totally demolished Frazier in the first round, in a display of a skill set never seen today. I stand in aw of Mike Tyson. In Mike's own words, with great respect, God bless him, he came from the gutter x. But to be who he was, he had to, to give him the hunger to move forward. That what gave him his hunger and give him the success that propelled him through his career. I've also never seen such punch accuracy like Mike had. When Mike fought Pinklon Thomas, Mike had around seventeen unanswered shots, eventually flooring Thomas and yet another fight Mike dominated. I wish more fighters these days would take on board Mike's mindset and ethics. We very rarely see now Mike's commitment, drive, dedication, devotion, and respect to his much loved sport as what Mike's shown us over the years. I'm so, so happy to have lived in those years and have and seen Mike box. The likes of Mike Tyson are so, so rare and I don't think there'll be too many of him coming along anytime soon and so so happy to see him happy and content living the life he's living now. God bless Mike Tyson, and thank you for this journey so far x.

I respect Mike Tyson's knowledge and his opinion(s). But I have to dissagree with his view of Oleksandr Usyk. Tyson seems to not be that time invested in studying this Ukranian ring genious. He is the REAL "Once In A Lifetime Talent". Usyk is insanely skilled in the art of boxing and seems to cover all bases well + being a tricky south-paw always gets a headache for Tyson Fury and other elite boxers.

Mike Tyson used to fight every two weeks. This days boxers fight once a year.
@chrisgullett4332
@chrisgullett4332 5 ай бұрын
No he did not. The most he fought after winning a title was 4 times in one year. Boxing organizations simple will not allow champions to fight a lot. It has been that way for decades. A champion may fight 3 times a year, but mostly fights once or twice a year. All fighters fight a lot when they are being moved up, but once they start making money that stops. For example, Deontay Wilder fought 7 times in a year, and the next three years he fought 6 times for each of those three years, which is 25 fights in 4 years. Then the very next year he fights three times, and have never fought more than twice a year since. That same pattern happens with at least 80% of big named fighters. It was the same pattern for Tyson. What happened? Well they both started making money and no longer had to fight several times a year. Wilder gets signed by Golden Boy, starts making real money, and no longer needs to fight more than once or twice a year. Usually they'll be making a very little money, then they move up to where they may be making 50 thousand per year, then all of a sudden they get a big break and will be making more in one fight than they made in their entire career. That is when the fighting several times a year stops. Big named fighters do not have to fight much, and champions could not fight a lot even if they wanted to. Expecting fighters that are making millions per fight, to fight a lot, is just absurd. The goal as a boxer is to get to the point where you do not have to fight much. It is like Hagler said, it is tough to get out of bed and do roadwork at 5AM when you've been laying in silk pajamas.

Come to think of it that's true. I always thought that the 3-4 belts rule just made it harder for champions to be recognized as champions, what with the challenge of gaining all the belts to be undisputed, and while I still believe that I guess I'd rather see more opportunities for fighters than see them have less fights than only have one belt.

Easy fight to see really a big part of Tysons game is roughing up in the clinch. One of the reasons Ngannou did so well really. He will absolutely brutalize Usyk it won't be pretty.

Great response, "Great fighters lose, have bad performances, but that doesn't mean they are not great fighters." (Mike Tyson).

1:30 I hope you are wrong M, Usyk has to get that belt. Fury is weak, and if doesnt train, he will lose. 4:00 Mike really sees and understands boths sides, a hope he stays in boxing, his knowledge is invaluable. 5:00 The best. Bite an ear! Too funny and brilliant! 💯 correct: boxers arent fighting often enough. Facts. Mike is so calm, cool and collected. Those mics-hey needed to be batted away. ;) MT nailed this interview. What great man.

I wonder how far Mike Tyson could go if he returned to heavy weight division. I’m sure he could win a belt. I reckon he’s still good enough to cause problems. I could be wrong, what does everyone else think?
