Quick note just watching the first minute. And I love it. I've been struggling to combining fluid, and comping the chords and lead fills seamlessly in a 12 bar blues and making it sound smooth-and musical. You do it so well!! Hi , Mike .. question with the changes when the chord changes do focus on the first note on the down beat ?

If your writing lines It’s best to start phrases on all different parts of the bar.. it’s common to put chord tones on the down beat or start with a non chord tone on the up beat .. it will sound like an exercise if u start phrases in same places all the time.. I try to fill these solos up so there’s plenty going on to talk about
