Was hoping to hear it run for a few seconds but I think it had to much gas for other videos I try one of those squeeze bottles for like mustard so you can put a little gas in the carb vent tube just to put a couple of ounces in the bowl of the carb it may surprise you and idle a couple of seconds . Just a thought.

Maybe the battery was causing the smoke. I’m running a 6 volt on my flathead, also on mine it’s hooked up backwards.

I can't see a vacuum line into the distributor? New points and condenser don't cost much

Please tell me you dropped the old oil out of it before you cranked on it! Seriously, the diesel fuel/30 wt oil will help de sludge that engine.
