As the proud owner of a Silver Tommie Mak Evo6 , this looks pretty darn close , unless you knew what you were looking at , you couldnt tell the difference, well done Mike. Only thing i would have done different , is put a Tommie Mak front end on (looks nicer IMO + the cold air intake hole) , but other than that , if i was doing it , id done everything the same. Like flaring the guards would be a pain , with very little difference, i would have skipped that too. Dont get me wrong looking at it's wide stance is great , but if you were going to the trouble of that you'd just buy a Evo6 lol. Good job man , another 90's Lancer saved from the wreckers 👍👍👍 (not that i see many these days driving around NSW, more likely to see the Evo8's and 9's)

Cool build. I always envy 'high-end' builds with (very) expensive JDM cars. This however is obtainable and will give at least as much fun.

We used to own one which was 1.3 and 75 hp. I spent 15 years in that car growing up, from 5 years old to 20. My dream was to find a job and build it as an Evo (it had some mods on it, like bumpers, sideskirts etc, but not an engine). After the first quarantine, the car clocked about 160 thousands km and my dad sold it for a 2011 Opel Astra. It doesn't have the legacy of the Lancer, but it's got some modern style on it !

Converting lancer into evo is quite common in my country Indonesia since lancer evo and other jdm cars price are skyrocketing like crazy. You can convert lancer gti to evo I, II, III, lancer ck to evo IV, V, and VI, and lancer CS to evo VII, VIII, and IX. And lot of the convert is not just the exterior but all the way to interior, windshield, engine, drivetrain, and other small detail. Some of the convert are so good that if you not evo enthusiast the only way to tell the difference between the real and convert is by looking at the VIN number

Watching these type of videos are very inspiring to me. I currently have a 90s Impreza that's definitely a fixer upper, but the goal is to restore it to the version 6 GC8 STI. Since nobody over here in America has even seen the original STI before (the car was never sold over here in the markets unfortunately) I decided to make it my goal to restore one since both of these type of rally cars are rare on the road these days and to top it off, this is my first Subaru project car that I've ever owned. At one point before I even purchased the Impreza, I thought about getting a Mitsubishi mirage and trying to turn it into an old school Evo, but I kind of just scrap the idea and just went with the Impreza as it was already AWD. Anyway, I just want to say keep up the good content bro and like I said, it was really inspiring to watch and it put a smile to my face.

I’m still waiting for the part that this car turned into an Evo.

First of all, it’s an amazing build. With the coil-overs, new intercoolers and that sweet turbo and all of the the mods, it’s absolutely beautiful. But is it a proper evo conversion as because evo has an awd chassis with a 2.0L 4cyl mivec engine. Is there any plans of upgrading this beast to a proper Evo ?
