he´s the perfect guy without any doubt.

In this whole concert his guitar is in the perfect volume. I see a lot of videos of his shows here on YT in wich his guitar can hardly be heard, and Ben is such a good guitar player, it's a shame

you were correct - it is a double bass (or upright bass, contra bass, whatever you want to call it). Cello's are a wee bit smaller, and are typically played sitting down (india bourne plays cello in a lot of other ben howard videos, you could reference that to see the size difference)
