I survived 24 hours in the streets in china speaking only Chinese to chinese people. Speaking only Chinese all day for 24 hours can be very challenging if you're not a Chinese person. I didn't struggle at all as i spoke with chinese elders, young people as well as interacting with all the strangers i met on the street. It was a fun experience. I learned a lot being out there all by my self

Black in china out here breaking people's necks 😂 Your social/self awareness is very much admirable and so is your situational self confidence. I wouldn't be able to casually walk roam around in a country with people are almost fixated by the fact a black man is just walking by, honestly i would probably become paranoid haha. Ofc i know they're just curious and don't mean any harm by it but still, little uncomfortable just by watching 😅 Either way that's exactly what you do and you make it look very easy 💪 On top of that, you meet their curiosity in a very open, loving and insightful way that always ends with a smile on their faces. I salute you brother ❤✝️🙏🫡

Thanks to you all for being out there along with me. When ever I’m out there I’m always not alone. I can feel all your presence so the rest is just fun. Sometimes the group of strangers I meet ask me this question. “ Are you out all by yourself?” I just laugh and to me it’s an indirect way of saying I’m not alone.

Impressive how friendly and curious the Chinese are towards you. I imagine being fluent in Chinese makes a big difference. Amazing how developed China is now - seems close to the level of Japan (where I lived for two years). Greetings from Poland! (I'm a foreigner who's lived here a long time.)

Do not worry, it is very convenient to living or traveling in China even you don't speak any Chinese. You can try to communicate with local people with translation APPs. Most of the local Chinese are very friendly to foreigners no matter what skin color you are.

China has diversified culture- some are influenced by modernity but there are some living candidly in their old ways. Many Chinese are curious about foreigners and are usually friendly towards them.

$2 USD for those noodles is so cheap. In Sydney, Australia, it would be around $10 USD or more. I'm so jealous!

It is their interpretation of it; the base Reggae beat is there. Our musicians speak highly of their experiences in China; some of the locals sing their songs word for word (despite knowing very little English).

As an older white man who speaks Chinese, I get lots of stares but I imagine not as much as you. The Chinese people, as people everywhere, treat foreigners much better if you can speak at least a little of their language. And congratulations on the channel.

i was born in Poland, some years ago, and in the early 80-ties there was no black people in my city (population 200k+). I encountered a fist black guy there at the age of 10-ish, and like you might expect i almost broke my neck :D I think he was a student from Africa learning engineering at local university of technology.
