Oh I bet they could! A lot of amazing feats happen in war. The difference Vietnam and now is the internet existing, platforms like this existing, and almost every human having a handheld computer that we can film HD vids on, upload those vids into the ether that other people can also access, and we can access pretty much any knowledge the human race has come across... (pretty crazy when ya think about it) I'll bet there's some guy out there who was known in his circles as a Huey God, but nobody had a camera to film him or had even heard of a podcast before
