Only thing I didn’t see was the brake lights. Or… maybe I missed it? I kept waiting to see the interior half of the tail lights illuminate but didn’t see it happen

Subaru did a pretty good job with refreshing the design and because they do look similar it makes the previous Gen not look outdated.

Do the tail lights illuminate when the daytime running lights are on? Edit: The answer is yes, at least at night. With the light switch in the off position, putting the car in gear turns on all lights at max intensity.

I just got my 2024 Crosstrek. The “blank spots” are very distracting to me. It’s interesting that you demonstrated how they might help oncoming drivers. They don’t move to the left like that on my 2024. Even at speed, they stay in the right lane lined up with the tracks of the tire. In addition to the blank spots, the distance of the low beams doesn’t seem very good. Makes pot holes come up even quicker. But why is there a blank spot on the right? The way they bob and weave with the SRH (steering responsive headlights) is totally weird. I hate it with a passion.

I find the output lighting on the backup lights is low on the 2024 Limited. Anyone else? I think the 2018 model I had did have better backup lights.

I love my 2024 crosstrek sport went from dim ass lights in my 2012 chevy equinox that had 230k miles on it I've had this new car for 4 days now and I'm inlove with it they rushed my paperwork and they didn't give it a car wash or give me wiper fluid and I think it's included with spending 40k on a car and the passenger door handles the black clip in piece isn't correctly into place so that'll be fixed Monday the only thing with the headlights I feel like they are aimed to low but that might just be me and me being used to my equinox headlights the adjusters being broken and aiming all over the place

@@robertwolf6412I did that to my 2024 Crosstrek. Replaced the tag lights to LED as well. There is a well reviewed brand an Amazon that claims to fit all models below 2022, but they fit the 2024 as well!

Lights could be BETTER?? Sh...!! That makes it look like beautiful DAYLIGHT compared to my old Malibu... I could drive at night easily with that-- can't with my old car.. I only have one eye now and that looks GREAT!!!

I had the brightness turned up on the camera to make it easier for viewers to the see the headlight pattern. They are good headlights but not quite as good as the video appears.

@@MikesCarInfo STILL way better than what I have now-- the old weak Yellow looking junkers in my 2003 Malibu...and I only have ONE eye now and it reduces light by the special lens in it-- so I need all I can get!! :)

Absolutely yes. Most new vehicles with LED headlights will be much better than the 2003 malibu.

Take it for a night drive before buying. I just bought a sport. Awesome car overall. At night though, the headlights suck. I live in New England. On winding unlit back roads, the field of view on low beam is awful. High beams is underwhelming. This is due to the angle of the lights being set very low as a "courtesy " for other vehicles. I wouldn't be surprised to see a recall on this in the not too distant future.

Fantastic breakdown and review. I strongly dislike my wife’s Foresters SRH lights. Too bojncy and too short of a light cast. Bright just not far enough. The Xtreks don’t look better

The headlights on the 2024 Crosstrek are terrible and dangerous. Just bought the car 2 weeks ago and the headlights are too low, and have 2 black shadows that show at night and look like you have black floaters in your eyes. Take for a test drive at night before you buy.

If your experience is worse than the view in this video then you might be able to have the dealer readjust the headlights. Some new vehicles get out of the factory with misaligned headlights. Dealers are supposed to check them before the sale but they rarely do.

@@MikesCarInfo the dealer did an adjustment and it made it worse. Going back again to see if there is anything they can do. I live in a rural area with few street lights and it's frightening not to be able to see what's around you while driving. Very poor, dangerous design.

you can do it by yourself by just turning the white bolt on your headlight with a screwdriver reverse clockwise - no need to go to the dealer@@user-id3qq3hl3i

also, you might check the tire pressure on your front tires vs the back tires

Had the headlights readjusted by dealer 3 times...made mo difference. Tire pressure would have nothing to due with those black dot floaters. Hate having to drive at night.
