The simplicity of the design of these machines is incredible. Well, sometimes you need special tools like you did, but in general you find things exactly like you expect them to be.

Great video, relevant to some cam and follower replacement I'm doing on a Velocette. Will you let us know how much the cam grinding quote is?

Mike, what made you suspect the cam. Or did you just pull it as routine when you did the valves. Never touched mine.

When I saw how worn the guides were I thought I'd better remove the barrels to have a look at the cam followers. I used a torch to check the cam in situ before pulling it.
