Howdy, y'all! My name is Mike and I absolutely love scavenging for free stuff, random treasures, lost valuables and other interesting artifacts. I mainly rock the dumpster diving scene but can be found digging through trash curbside as well as scavenging the river bottoms for lost treasures in the summer months. Join me on my epic voyages!

I prowl the city streets in search of dumpster loot, curbside treasures & scrap metal as well as scour the river bottoms for lost valuables during the summer months when I can scrounge up enough money for gas. My wife ,kids and grandkids thought i was nuts for watching some guy dig through dumpsters until i showed them videos of you rescuing trash pandas trapped in dumpsters now they think you are a wonderful man with a weird hobby. I told them they just need more MTS in their life and they would understand what a great service you are providing for the betterment of this planet one piece of scrap and snibbit at a time. I've been on vacation and have had the time watch Mike the Scavenger in action. It's always interesting to see what he finds and I like the follow up on the most recent scavenge. I also enjoy the "Kung-fu" routine when entering or leaving a dumpster 😂

The LED Lights should last a long time but if they are not wired in correctly then they have a lot short life span

Thanks for the video appreciate going out scrapping for the ones that we can't get out and do it all the time but to correct you on the filing cabinet is considered a ped as considering pedestal technically but we called him a pet as in a moving company when we move offices that's what they're considered LOL just had to tell you

Lol I dove in the 60's on.. but I old. There use to be heavy metal lids on the dumpsters. I just can't do it anymore. I can't get anyone to go with me. I'm 68 and can't climb like I use to. With the high cost of everything now, I just might convince one of my grandkids to join me.

Mike has said that he sometimes hits up to 200 dumpsters in a night, I think his normal route of the most productive ones is somewhere in the 60-70 dumpster range.

Mike, you've got to check those cubicles to make sure they're not made out of extruded aluminum. Cut the fabric the frame. They can be worth their weight in aluminum. Thanks for all the fun voyeuristic scrapping experiences. I'm too old and worn out to do that kind of work anymore but I love to watch you do it!

What's funny is people constantly throw away mini fridges and 9 out of 10 times if you turn them upside down unplugged over night and turn it back around and plug it in it usually starts working idk why but it does

Possibly turning them upside down re-compresses to coolant. Poor quality mini frigs they sale under a $100 ( planned obsolescence ). How much would a service call to refill the coolant costs?
