Being English and living my entire life in London, I didn't know who Eben was when I first started watching the show, but now I've become a fan of his calm style of interviewing. He kept every episode ticking over, allowing Mike to drift off, then re-enter the conversation with something interesting or hilarious. That chemistry was why I watched the podcast. Bad move, whoever chose to replace Eben.

As the show is Hotboxin Eben’s voice has a deep stoner Burning Man Hippy vibe. It’s soothing and authoritative for moderating. And Eben often reminds Mike of previous personal conversations related to the guest’s comments that Mike tees off.

This is such an inspirational talk being down to earth. Wish we could see the uncut version. Like when Bill Burr asks who would it be that Mike would have walk through the doors. Mike says he'd have his kids walk through the door. It was the nicest answer ever.... Wish we could see the whole take. Mike helps so many of us, learning from Mike. Especially of us that are more testosterone guided and learned from old school men that trained us not to show our softer side, our more human side. Mike is such a role model for so many many of us. I know its a show and you have to edit for the best. But many of us have so much we can learn from Mike in all kinds of ways.

7:15 or before about Bill's rant. What I think about his problem is that he's afraid of his own reputation. As he said, he built his fame through being that angry guy being angry about the small problems in life which we can all relate to. He's that relatable friend who makes everything funny. So when things actually start to piss him off and he genuinely feels frustrated and angry, there's no one to turn to for sympathy and that's because they might just take it as just another one of his jokes. That's gotta be a lonely feeling man. He looks like he's moved on from that though. Kudos to him for that Just trying something fun and exercising my brain here lmao

He was likely offered a large sum of money like Joe Rogan. The bean counters are stuck in TV world and are trying to make this like a TV show like Politically Incorrect or that Collin Quinn show but without an audience. They thought it was a good idea to make the show look more 'professional' because psychological/sociological/anthropological/sociological studies have shown.... They got rid of Brit Eben because he cost too much money and this dude was willing to co-host for much less. This is all pure speculation. Does anyone really know why Eben is no longer co-hosting? Did he quit or was he fired? Is his absence temporary?
