My name is Mikey, I make a living reselling items I source from places like garage sales, estate sales, thrift stores and flea markets. I am a Las Vegas local who loves to have a good time and share my adventures. So glad you changed your life. I was fired from my job of 151/2 years for being to slow with my customers. Who knew that taking care of a customer would become a bad thing 🤔? Turns out it was the biggest blessing 🙌 I could have received. I was 62, and able to go on Social Security. I don't make much, but my sister and I started selling online about 2 months ago. We have had 3 days in a row of sales for the 1st time ever!!! I'm happy and getting more healthy ☺️ every day. I'm blessed beyond measure. Thanks for a great video and sharing your story. I love shopping with you and learning new things. ❤👍👊🙏

Isn't something that when you get to retirement age they ax you. They'll set you up for failure and make it hard for you with impossible shifts. This is why I left my job at 62. I am fortunate financially because of my husband. Good luck to you and all.

The problem with working for yourself is you have to think about when your too old to do it or if you get injured. Make sure to pay into social security, a medical plan, and some kind of retirement account. At least working for a company you can get unemployment pay if that happens, social security, a 401k if offered, and some companies a pension and medical coverage. So you really have to think about the plus and negative side

💯 agree. Everyone has a different situation. My wife works for a great company with benefits. I also learned just because you work for a company does not mean you will get unemployment and medical aid if you do get hurt on the job. Company’s go under and crap happens. I do think this is best as a side hustle tho. Thanks for sharing.

it would be awesome if that co worker watched but I think they may have played taps for him already. This was over 20 years ago and he already could have retired. I am happy to share my story. If I wasnt jerked around at my last job I would probably still be working in peoples homes and enjoying my lunch in a front yard on a bucket everyday. I do miss the team atmosphere but I also enjoy getting rewarded for my hard work. The other thing is though if I dont work I wont make money and I am sure you know some people just show and do the minimum and get paid the same as others. I am rambling now but I just enjoy sharing and thinking about it all. Milk it to retirement and sell on the side while building the empire!!!

@@MikeyBagsOfMoney yeah when your in management you figure out who are the warm bodies on job site within the first week of managing it. Yeah something I see these carpenters pulling well over 170k a year. Some week deserved! But the warm bodies riding the same coat tails! It’s unfair but I’ve learned keep my head down and work. If I don’t like my situation I can always leave. Just now older with kids so making a well calculated choices now.

Dakine has to have been created by a Native Hawaiian. I worked for a couple at a flower shop for 14 years. The woman boss was Native Hawaiian, born and raised. She was always saying, " Go get dakine." And I would have to ask which kind of "dakine" she was talking about. Because it could be a person, place, or thing, changing each time she said it. Lol boy does that bring back memories.

I wore those 511 Tacs but they were on a uniform allowance. The 511 Tac are $58 and the stryke are $82 new. Pick up the shirts, and belts also. Those are $58-82 new.

Thank you so much! The internet is a great place to look for deals. Plenty of sellers underprice items that you can buy for resale. Start slow it takes time to learn and mistakes must be made as part of the process. So many ways to run and source a reselling business

Thanks, Mikey, for sharing, your story is so inspirational. I'm so glad you're successful at what you're doing & bonus; you enjoy it! Your comments on various items cracks me up. A few years ago a friend of mine decided to leave her job of stocking Hallmark cards at stores & become a reseller. She mainly resells in booths, but occasionally online, also. I got interested 2 years ago (i love to shop & was close to becoming a hoarder), so took the plung & got a booth. The first 2 months i just picked from my own home & sales were great (guess i have good taste, idk 🤣) I then started sourcing at various places & now have 3 booths at 2 different towns & business is good mostly. I don't do online selling, tho. It made me kinda sad, tho, when you said it makes it even better having your wife's support, you see, i don't have that, in fact just the opposite from my spouse. Oh well, i enjoy doing it & like i tell him, at least it keeps me out of the mall!

Mikey, I love that you jumped into reselling full time. I have been unemployed by choice for the past 9 mos. I just started selling last month. It's a slow go so far, but I know it will get better. Do you find list perfectly improves your sales?

That is great you have started selling! Its usually slow to start because you are learning. Do you know about sell through rate? What items you are selling and how well you present them determines how fast they sell. I do thinks its best to learn as a side hustle until you have learned the ropes. List Perfectly improves my sales for sure. I have over 800 listings on ebay and use LP to cross post to mostly poshmark and FB right now. You need to have quite a few listings of desirable items for sales to roll in. Once you have some inventory I would cross post with LP to increase your reach with your items. Also if you are only on like, posh or mercari or a smaller site, I think its worth it to cross post those items to ebay. Ebay isnt the easiest but its the biggest and best chance for your items to sell. You can message me on insta or send an email if you have any questions. Hope this made sense. I Noticed Goodwill is marking EVERY name brand item..they think it should be red tag now..really they send the high end stuff the central for the online Goodwill auction..Now inside store the infamous RED tag everything..kinda a bummer..but what can you do..🙃
