Catch and cook fishing for Queenfish just outside of Darwin Harbour. Cooked in the Char-Broil "The Big Easy" roaster smoker. This is the biggest Queenfish I have ever caught fishing.
I caught it on my Shimano Barra Raider rod, and Shimano Stradic 2500 reel, which was small gear for a fish this big.
The NT Water Police pulled me up on the way home for a safety check. They were obviously in a good mood, letting me go with a warning and to make sure I go and grab a V Sheet before next time I'm on the water.

I live in Darwin in Australia's Northern Territory. Also known as the "Top End." A lot of my older videos are from the Gulf of Carpentaria, when I lived in a little fishing village called King Ash Bay Fishing Club. It's located on the banks of the McArthur River downstream from Borroloola in the Northern Territory. I still go back there a few times a year and make fishing videos of my fishing trips.

It was so good to get back out on the water for the first time in ages. Was treated to near glass-off conditions. Just a couple more fish and it would have been the perfect morning. 🤠👍🏻🎣

Mikey the little stuff can be a problem at times. Personally I would recommend stopping by at mandorah and castnetting a couple of herring. It'll be worth it they catch everything. Chuck them unweighted into a school of pelagics. But they work especially well for nice golden snapper on the reefs dead or alive

Hi boss , nice to see u again , is this weather real ? End of dec ? That clear sky ? I never visit Darwin during Christmas due to the wet season . Should I give it a go next year ? By the way how is your little boy doing ? He alright ?

It’s difficult to predict. The wet season traditionally kick in fully until January I reckon when the big rains come. But some years they could come in December, and then some years like last year they don’t come at all.
