I think it's a Bolshoi production touring in Kazan. If you look at the curtains, they're different than the Bolshoi's distinctive red/gold. @@naund222

My favourite Godunov was Boris Christoff but of those I've seen recently, Kazakov is the best. Of course, it's all a matter of personal taste. It is a great, great opera.

Постановка роскошная, тенор великолепный,хор и оркестр мощные,Михаил Казачков прекрасен,но тембр голоса несколько высокий для партии Бориса,так мне слышится.По тембру голоса соответствует Ильдар Абдразаков.

What a commanding voice! Magnificent! I hope one day to see that the Russian monarchy restored and can exist beside the State. If Britain can manage it, why not?

Monarchy is really a wrong government, that of all the people in the country, instead of choosing the best person for the job, they choose the son/daughter of someone who once held that position.

Britain already managed it by refusing to accept Nicholas II and his family during the revolution (as a result, he was afterwards killed by bolsheviks). Not to mention Paul I assasinated by a gang with the support of the british ambassador.

@@peterlindner3283 what job? In constitutional monarchy the king is only symbolic, he doesnt de facto reign his country. Whats wrong with that?

@@marcin_kalbarczyk Well, it depends on how you set up the monarchy. In some Arab countries, the power is an absolute dictator for a king. In almost any country with a king, they have laws that prohibit people from saying negative things about the king or even gossiping about the king; the penalties are severe. So, there’s no freedom of speech. There is no *need* to have a king. Royalty drains money off of the people, and have the unhealthy concept that they are the only people who could do this job, except for the other ones in line of succession in their family. Don’t you think a democracy is better where the best person hopefully will win regardless of who their father or mother was?
