Dear Micaela! Once I called a classical radio show asking them to play Beethoven sonata 3rd movement! This show started in 1970s the Finnish people can call and ask famous recordings!! The Second time I call and asked Pletnev's CPE Bach sonata! I bought a lottery ticket and I won and bought Pletnev's CPE Bach recordings CD with that winning money!

Un Beethoven más intimista y delicado que el que nos han transmitido otros grandes pianistas. Se justifica el dicho de Schnabel citado -aquí- en un comentario. Estas sonatas son un mundo interior que se puede abordar con miradas distintas y por ese motivo son siempre mejores que la forma en que se tocan. Pletnev es uno de los grandes pianistas de finales del S. XX y de lo que ha corrido del XXI.

Der Irrtum dieses Pianisten ist es, durch Dehnungen mehr Ausdruck zu gewinnen. Bei mir als Zuhörer erzeugt das Überdruss.

Как Михаил Васильевич играет при таких слушателях- поражаюсь! 10 секунд не проходит, чтобы не раздался кашель, какие- то странные движения, шуршание. Как можно сосредоточиться и играть в таком зале? Даже невозможно слушать запись. Зачем люди идут на концерт, если заняты другим?!

No doubt that Pletnev is a stylistic genius at the piano - but truth is - his playing is full of affectations and superficial pauses. I grow weary following all of those expressive devises. And the constant loss of momentum and developmental tension is, for me , hard to listen to.
