Pletnev is truly one of the greats of the present day.....

Truly amazing - No pianist has ever impressed me as much as Pletnev - there is so much depth mixed with technical perfection that it's a delight to hear the music.

This recital took place in Turin, 1999. The conductor is Aleksandr Vedernikov with the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai.

Another splendid Pletnev performance! Though a fine pianist by training, he also excels at conducting. In both, he shows a sensitivity, emotional bond, excitement and crispness..

Pletnev is one of the very few pianists today that can be classified in the same category as Horowitz, Richter, Gilels and Josef Hofmann.He was born for the great romantic virtuoso masterpieces.This performance is totally inspired and completely breathtaking.I wish there were some DVDs of this genius besides his definitive account of Rachmaninoffs Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini.

I am not familiar with this piano concerto, but it does sound uniquely Liszt to me. Great playing from Pletnev!

This is simply special. Never heard him play this before - wish I had/could. What talent. Sadly we know not when or where or with what orchestra; maybe we could be informed?

Conductor seems a bit of an “odd-bod” but Pletnev is outstanding, as always. None of the histrionics of Zimerman in the Barenboim performance from Bayreuth

Mikhail Pletnev is the king playing concertos like Prokofjev piano concerto 1 with a nuclear explosioN and Haydn 11 d major with a diamond like tone with a russian orchestra(not Pletnev recording with the german orchestra) Pletnev should play Prokofjev 1 Haydn 11 Liszt piano concero 2.Mikhail Pletnev is the loadest the hardest hitter of piano ever.But his piano sound is a cool one.Grigory Sokolov Andrei Gavrilov Stanislav Bunin has a better piano sound.Pletnev is the coolest virtuoso ever

Miguel Menchu ¿Razón en Bach? ¡Jajajajajaja!
@adriatorras80775 жыл бұрын
¿Quién es Bach, el filósofo del órgano? Jajajajajajajajajajaja.
