Hey Kenneth. This is a question I get really often, and the answer is always, "It depends". The course teaches you how to publish for pretty much free and you do everything yourself, but if you want to outsource it all and create a longer book say 30,000 words it could be over $1000. My books right now I invest usually about $700-1000 and outsource it all. Usually get 100 percent of it back in 2-3 months then the rest if profit going forward.

Awesome! Congrats on joining. I can't comment on the accelerator because it didn't exist when I joined. I think it's a great idea if you're "ALL IN" but if this is something you're just doing to make some side income and not taking it super serious then the course and calls are enough.

I'm glad it's helpful! Truthfully, many people are doing really well with AIA and self-publishing in general, but they keep quiet and don't have KZfaq channels. So you only get negative videos or people who haven't taken the course :)

Trevor, you mentioned that books are much cheaper to get made now but you didn't put it in perspective. How much did you used to pay for a book, and how much do you pay now?

Yeah I’ve broken the costs down in other videos and many comments. I used to pay $50 to 700+ depending on the length of the book. I can get the work done 10x faster now a a quarter of the price or free if I want to do it all on my own through AI.

The way the course is setup now it won’t take 6 weeks to complete the course but it could take that long to get your first long form book out that has the potential to make a lot of money. You get faster once you’ve learned everything. There is something called the 7 day challenge most people start with so you can actually be earning your first royalties after a week.

I realize this may be a foolish question, but I'm wanting to create supplemental income right now and then transition to a permanent change due to some injuries I've had that affect my full time work. How much time would I need to dedicate each week to complete the course and implement the program. Is this something that's like 1hr day for a month? Is it several months of studying to figure out how to do this? I'm very interested in a Passive Income business that can take me forward to reach my financial goals. Right now, my business requires me to start over every day I wake up and 35 years of it has worn me out. Thanks!

It's not a foolish question at all. They have purposely revised the course to make it easier and faster to learn. An hour a day M-F for a month would be more then enough to learn everything. Hey Jennifer. Awesome :) - You can have the cheques mailed but it's much easier to just connect your bank account. You can have them convert your royalties into Canadian or later on you can open a cross borders bank account and keep it in USD like I do. (RBC, TD, CIBC etc) all have this option. @@MrViraj682 I don't really know of anyone losing their account, but if that happens its because they tried to cheat the system and get fake reviews, copyrighted material etc. As long as you aren't trying to take short cuts you will never have any issues.

Hey David. Well, first off, congrats on taking the jump and joining AIA. This course can change your life if you let it. You could use the AI tools and release a medium content book entirely for free. They also have a no/low budget section if you're concerned about money getting started. If I were you, I'd ignore KZfaq and get stuck into the course and community. My initial investment for the course was pretty small will you consider I've done over a million dollars since.

Would love to get your bonuses, but already a AI member- can I purchase them? I first saw add for AIA publishing in Dec, but was on fence for months mostly becasue of the many negative reviews of the course ( tho vast majority of these "reviews" were just click bait to promote another product ). It was your old videos that convinced me to take the plunge, but unfortunatley at the time AIA didn't have an affiliate program so I signed up directly a few months ago. I'm in no hurry to rake in the cash willing to learn fully as I go along. Currently on the 7 day challenge which I decided to turn into a higher content book so will take a bit longer. The biggest initial cost of publishing a book seems to be the ghost writing; but starting out on the cheap it seems very possible to use AI - such as chat GPT-to rapidly write a book. Currently strategy to do that morphed into: 1. Jot down general ideas for a chapter. Ideas are from online, youtube, already in your head- where ever. 2. Run ChatGPT prompt such as; In fun, conversation, and concise manner re write: ( the joted down material goes here via copy/paste) 3.Copy/paste chat GPT answer in document and read thru and dress up a bit. This takes very little time and produces results better than most books I've read! I can knock out 1000 words per hour, and I'm not very fast at things like this. THANKS for the VIDS ! Keep them comming please!

Hey Jack! Thanks so much for watching the videos and I'm glad you decided to take action. This course completely changed my life and it wasn't nearly as good as it is today when I first joined. Stick to the course and join the live Q&A sessions and you will succeed. I also highly suggest joining one of the mastermind groups and finding people who are already making money that can help you get those first books live. Hey Trevor! Great info. You mentioned several times spending money on advertising. Can you speak to that anymore? For instance, how much an advertising do you spend on each book? Is there some type of formula you use? And are those advertisements specifically on Amazon? The course talks a lot about the creation, but never about spending money on advertising, and this little piece of information would be very valuable to people, considering jumping in. Thanks in advance for any info!

No problem. You can only advertise books, not audiobooks, so you can make great money without advertising. Some do it, and others don't just depends on your approach. I try to do things, so I spend $1 and get $5-10 in return, but it's too much to cover in a comment. Perhaps I'll add it to my bonus section for the course.

Hey Marsha. No worries, none taken. The course hasn't had an affiliate program for very long and it makes up maybe 1 percent of my income lol. KZfaq and teaching publishing is just a passion project and it's nice I can make a few bucks off providing it. That 8k in June (slow season) was about 25 books maybe. @@marshawhitt718 I was completely broke when I got into the course, but this was a while back. One of the bonuses I offer with the course is how to start with very little budget, but in an ideal world id love to have 1-2k available to get my first couple books out quickly. Yes, I do build brand names for some of them, and selling things on the back end is a great idea, but honestly, if you're new to the business, I'd just focus on book sales first. And yes some people will see them and try to copy them, but it's much different then having thousands of publishers who already know your books are successful vs someone assuming what they earn.

I have 2 questions about getting reviews: 1) I thought Amazon frowns on giving your book away in order to get a review. Isn't it part of the procedure to get reviews by giving your book away according to the AI Publishing Academy Course? (Unless I misunderstood the promotional info they give to prospective "students". ) Another question: Can you use a pen name? because I already publish my creative projects under my real name. Good questions. When it comes to Audiobooks, you're given promo codes specifically to give away to other people in exchange for a review. And for KDP (Print & Kindle) you aren't supposed to be incentivizing reviews, but you can give your book away in hopes of getting reviews. Their rules are just entirely different depending on the format. As for pen names, you can absolutely use one or many. I'd say 95 percent of publishers use a pen name unless they're building their brand around their own name or business. Even famous authors many used pen names, so it's really up to you. Hope this helps!

The first questions I always ask is how many reviews do you have, and is your book cover good? There are many factors that affect their performance, but typically if those two things are done correctly having successful ad campaigns gets much easier.

So im on the fence on this bc of scams but the process makes sense. Although cheating with ai and not writing from the soul is a crime. It' could be said that one day the reader will meet the creator that helped them through ai and have no idea what the reader is talking about. Because it didn’t come from the ♥ of the creator. AI is there to assist with all the writing tasks including book outline, title, description etc but at this point I’m not advising using AI to write the book for you nor does AIA. However things have gotten much easier from when I started. I think a lot of Indy authors don’t make much because they write out of passion they aren’t running a business like in AIA. Just about everyone I’m friends with who publishes this way makes six figures a year now. However I can understand from the outside looking in it seems too good to be true. (It’s not)

@@tradeo8899 Not all of them, but I'd say the majority use ghostwriters. I'm not a writer. However, there are modules in the course showing you different books you can make without any writing skills.
