Micael Kiriakos Delaoglou (born 31 October 1963), known better by his stage name Mikkey Dee, is a Swedish rock musician. He is the current drummer for German rock band Scorpions since April 2016. Dee is best known for his time in British rock band Motörhead, with whom he played for from 1992 to 2015; the band disbanded following the death of frontman Lemmy. He has also played with King Diamond, Don Dokken, Helloween and Thin Lizzy. WIKI

I love all the bands Mikkey has played in, but I gotta say, his best drumwork will always be what he did in King Diamond -He was a key part of why those early albums became so iconic, and his style fitted perfectly :)

I think alot of people dont realize that he also wrote music with the guys, it wasnt just playing the drums. So im sure also part of what made those early King albums so great was probably some of his ideas as well

Couldnt believe it when I ran into Mikkey Dee in Dallas at the Basement in the early 90s. I spoke with him for a minute and was shocked he had nothing good to say about my beloved KD.

He was really pissed about the whole situation back in those days, he hated that it was the King Diamond band but it seemed to be that it was always King himself being shown everywhere and talked about and not the band itself and he felt that King himself was even marketing it like that too. I know that they've patched things up in recent years and Mikkey even played Halloween with them a few years ago when the band played their first live show in a very long time

He’s alright. Almost got into a fight with him when Motörhead use to hang out in Anaheim in the 90’s. I Love me some KD.....but I could see how he would want to play rock n roll instead.

En go gubbe från Långströmsgatan i Göteborg. grym trummis, sett honom spela sedan Nadir-tiden i början av 80 talet. Grym trummis. - Means " A nice bloke från Gothenburg, seen him play i local bands like Nadir since the beginning of the eighties 1980-1983), brilliant drummer" (I still see him from time to time, he lives just south of Gothenburg, the guy doesn't age) :)

Oh man Mickey needs to return with king diamond. I'm sure whatever differences they had back then are squashed now. He said it himself, they were young. King has a lot more broader perspective now. Hope to see him back in that lineup one day with Andy Larocque and King Diamond.

@@kennyhamilton It also depends on what he wants. Not about the pay. The level on the King Diamond Albums on which Mikkey participated on were top notch, as prog as heavy metal can get.

What it really was is King Diamond wanted it the way he wanted it not the way he wanted it Mikey dee is a damn good drummer don't get me wrong it's just he wanted everything his way not the King Diamond way for all who are out there don't know King Diamond is very hard to work with he wants it a certain way and he's going to have it a certain way and if you don't comply you're out that's just the way King is he wants his music perfect and that's just exactly what King Diamond is is perfect is optic range on his voice it just totally awesome he's even better now than it was back then since he's had surgery and quit smoking is like King diamond Reborn

King Diamond is absolutely my favorite band ever, when I was 15 I dressed up as King with the face paint and the cape and entered a Halloween costume contest and won 1st prize for best in show. It was so fun. Rock on 🤘King
