Anyone that uses this to put out any type of fire needs to know that the pump can put out 75 gallons a minute and the tote holds 275 gallons. Divide 275 by 75 and you get a whopping 3.6 minutes to put out a fire. FYI, the only thing you will be able to extinguish with this setup is either a lit cigarette or a small campfire. Funny how that is not mentioned.

That's not true. You do know nozzles will lower your gallons per minute down to 5 or less and that's a high pressure fire pump. Also 275 gallons is a lot, pretty typical for type 6 brush truck tank size. This is a very affectively unit to have.

@@JakeRoy98 You couldn't be any more wrong. Use a calculator and do the math. Math doesn't lie. Look up the specs on a plastic 1-1/2" Nozzle, it's 80 GPM. That gives you a whopping 3.4375 MINUTES of working time. You want the nozzle open 100% and the pump at 100% to keep your distance from the convection currents that can incinerate a human. No one in their right mind would use a pump and nozzle at less than 100%. A simple grass fire can travel at a rate of up to 14.27 miles per hour, destroying everything in its path. You couldn't put out enough water with that setup to stop a simple grass fire. Now let's say there was a pine tree involved. That unit couldn't spray down one tall tree let alone stop an approaching forest fire. OK fine, let’s use your pump and nozzle at 50% now you have 6.875. Seriously what do you think you will accomplish with 6 minutes of working time throwing water about 15 feet at 50%. Get serious. Anyone using this for anything other than a campfire is endangering their life.

@@JakeRoy98 Do some research and do the math. The nozzle allows 80 gallons per minute on a 1-1/2" hose nozzle. That's about three minutes at 275 gallons. Go ahead try and put out a brush fire, or forest fire in three minutes. 😂

@@robertnelson4755 Typically Wildland trucks use 1 inch line with a low gpm nozzle I'm a member of an RFPA and we use old forest service tanks typically 200-300 gallons, a predator harbor Freight pump or a Honda and 50 feet of 1" light weight booster hose and we put out a lot of fire. I live in the high desert of eastern Oregon. I'm sure if you were in the timbers it would be different. But are you saying type 6 and type 7 brush rigs are not effective because this setup is pretty much a brush truck. That's why Wildland rigs including our own have drafting capabilities so we can pull water because you will run out eventually. I feel like you are looking at this from an old fashioned or a structural fire fighting point of view.

They’re mainly used to compact soil on job sites and dirtbike tracks and shit like that. Not for firefighting. Calm down.
