This shows the Greatness of Rafi Saab. KK has given playback to AB in rest of the songs, RD’s voice was also used for Randhir Kapoor. Even Amitkumar’s voice was used for Randhir Kapoor. But the effect required for this song can only be produced by only one Rafi Saab. RD could have asked KK to sing for both, KK could have modulated the voice to match both, But the heart touching effect can be produced by the One and Only Rafi Saab.

Im an Iranian guy and part of my childhood was full of the joy with all these classic Indian movies. From that time till today always I'm saying: "What the great voice!!! When They're singing, you feel you're living in the divine time and place!! For sure all those singers they were remarkably gifted. However, at very this moment I have over 400 old Indian movie songs on my Ipod that certainly Im in love with all of them!!! Whenever Im listening to some of these beautiful song, this is all Im saying most the time:"Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful...dear Lord, thank you for creating these awesome people!!!" And during this type of speaking to myself, sometimes I gonna get out of control and suddenly I start to singing & danceing like crazy!!.. It doesn't matter where am I or what I'm doing, I just start it and enjoy myself!!.. [ last time on my way to going to serious meeting, I'd just pull over on highway and get out of my car and start to danceing and singing again along one of my favorite old Indian movies song, at age 45!!.. Okay, it was two weeks ago; but no more questions please!!! :))) ]

Both Rafi saheb &Kishoreji were good friends, even Rafiji helped KKji during his bad times in emergency

Kishore Kumar never forgot those who helped him during his struggling period. When Rafi was topmost singer in Bombay, Rafi helped Kishore Kumar a lot to find a platform under his feet. Kishore Kumar remembered that. And then, after so many years, once in a multi-starrer movie, both Kishore Kumar and Md Rafi were supposed to sing several songs. At that time, Rafi's market cooled down & Kishore Kumar's market was at its peak. Producer paid Rafi lesser amount as remuneration than Kishore Kumar. After knowing this, Kishore Kumar immediately told that producer, "From now onwards, I will never sing a single song in any of your films, and I will look after it personally so that none in Bombay dares to work with you". He ultimately forced that producer to apologize before Rafi and also to pay the same remuneration to Rafi equal to Kishore

Just see how well the greatest RAFI SAHAB suits Amitabh here even though his voice has been mostly Kishor. He had that incomparable quality of modulating his voice to every actor, a quality that other singers lacked. The phenomenon RAFI SAHAB was truly 'EVERYONE'S VOICE'.
