Hi, Sorry to drag up an older post (great video by the way, been looking for something like this for ages to correct the mileage on an upgraded Convers+ IPC). I have the cable you recommended and the Ford OBD software you kindly provided, but wonder whether you know for sure that the '96,028' went onto your IPC as Miles or KM, as although your IPC screen is showing 96,028 MILES, the Ford OBD software only seemed to display what was being written as KM in the video. I currently have aprox' 107,000 Miles on my old IPC and about 178,000 on the new one, therefore, if I set the new one to 107,000, it's brilliant if that's definitely Miles, but would be an issue if it's KM. I hope this makes sense, and thank you in advance for your comments and future videos. Cheers, S.

@@shoonyuk6292 don’t be silly it doesn’t matter how old the video is I’m always happy to help I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment, so what you need to do is set the clocks to 0 as you’re rolling the mileage back and that’s the only way you can get the mileage lower. Once set to 0 type in on google miles to kilometres converter and convert the mileage to kilometres once you’ve done that type in the figure you get for kilometres and set the clocks the. You’ll see the correct mileage in miles on your ipc hope this helps

So, just to be clear (Div alert here :-)) 107,000 Miles equates to 172199.808 KM, so, if I insert 172199.808 KM into the Ford OBD software and write it to the new IPC, the new IPC should then display the Mileage as (or close to) 107,000 Miles?

Hello, Thanks for the video and the app. Unfortunately, I did not find any ok obd cable that works with the attached software, only applications such as forscan etc. are supported. If anyone finds an obd cable that will work with this app, please leave a link.

Hi I need your help. I bought the same cable and messed around. The problem I currently have is I don't know the correct plug in of the cable with the 4 wires. Can you please take a picture and upload it on Dropbox? You have to remove the 4 screws and the cover to get a view from the inside. Please you are my last hope

@@6uiltdifferent Wait let me try to explain it again. If you hold your obd port in your hand which you plug in to your car you will see 4 screws in total. 2 on each side. I want you to remove those 4 screws so you can take out the Plastik cover from the obd. After that you will see the harness from your usb cable. I need a picture of that. Hope you can help me mate!

Hi bud that’s strange I did find only one port worked with my cable it can be a pain at times my laptop didn’t want to connect to the car at all the other day then all of a sudden it did my only bet is to do a cleanup on the pc with ccleaner and give it a reset hopefully this helps

Not sure but you can scan the transponder with zedbull or buy the both as they’re only a tenner each see which one programmes up and if it’s both then you’ve got extra keys

Oh dear mate not good at all I honestly don’t know what to say my cars played up not connecting wise before but eventually did connect up maybe disconnect the battery for 10 mins and try and link the laptop back up

Can you help please. My odometer reads in km. it will not change to miles within the onboard computer settings . It has both Km’s and miles under vehicle settings but miles is not selectable. Is there a solution to change ? Many thanks

I’m not sure to be honest my only other suggestion is to download forscan and have a look in there as you can add things like average mpg to the cluster so you may be able to change it. Is it a Uk cluster or a euro one?

ahh snap sorry the one I got is no longer available but yeah mine says it’s for Fords that’s style of lead you’ll need though and no problem

@@6uiltdifferent my little screen when I turn ignition on all lights up apart from the small screen then around 10 seconds later it kicks in, any idea is this a fault with the cluster or if it could be related to me not having a stereo in the car as it worked before stereo was removed and stereo died so removed it and basically had this issue with the screen since , also I don’t suppose a modified forscan cable would work would it? Got about 20 cables I can try if not haha

@@alanlaing673 hi mate if try a radio back in it first if it doesn’t work I’d say there’s something up with the cluster and I’m not sure you can try a forscan cable I just used the one provided with the cd I got hope this helps

Just want to be sure before I buy it, my ecu mileage is on 190,000 and my engine is on 90,0000 so would I be able to go down to 90,000?

Yes reset it to 000000 then you’ll be able to set it to that
