A great Blues Band!!! Miles hears it in his soul and then plays it. Only a few have ever achieved that level of playing with a content base which laid the basis for future musical excursions sought only by possessed explorers and musical idiom inventors. John never again reached those creative heights or demonstrated the inventive consciousness of his serious contributions to this music; Berg’s intense introspective callings provided an honors dissertation of the Coltrane school of influence ; Al and Steve were an unbelievable team of percussionists ; and Daryl showed himself to be the genius he is. A truly great Band and the “The Definition” of chromatic playing.
