I think this all explains Miles' reckless behavior as well as his cockiness. His horrible father really did made him feel like trash ever since his childhood. It's really sad how his own family (especially his mother) never even take his side until the end of "Firestarter, pt. 2". To add insult to injury, Miles II blames Miles III for making the whole all screwed up. His words caused Miles to nearly punch him. Now I'm a little worried about what might happen on Season 15.

This is why I love degrassi so much. I never related to a tv show in my own life. No parent should make their child feel like they are the problem. No parent should provoke their child. I feel this on a personal level. My mom makes me out to be the worse child ever. She belittles me in front of my sisters. Makes me feel like I’m crazy when I get tired of her bullshit. Just know miles, you are not alone.

I relate to this so much when I was really young my father hurt me so much with a belt, so my mother divorced him. As a child I was good. But now I'm growing up and I have realised my mum isn't that different to my father, yeah she may hurt me less but she still hurts me, and calls me names, the only difference between my dad and my mum is that I argue with my mum unlike my dad, cos I was scared of my dad and as a child I would never dare to talk back to my father. Now my mum just always screams and shouts at home for no reason so when I tell her to stop we get into arguments, sometimes even ending up me getting hurt. And I could hurt her back but I don't because and don't wanna hurt her she's my mother. The worst thing is she goes around the house saying that I'm the one who hurts her. Like for example today I didn't hear her asking me to pick something up, so she was in a angry mood and punched me in the leg. And I cried but not because it hurt but because I was sick and tired of this cycle where she shouts for no reason, we start a argument and she ends up hurting me. sorry for this long paragraph its probably useless

Jana Thabet , degrassi goes way back. There was Degrassi Junior High, Degrassi High, Degrassi Next Generation, and Degrassi Next Class. There have been literally generations of characters and problems. If you want Miles' full story, start on season 13 of Degrassi Next Generation. One of my favorite characters Adam Torres died in a car accident before Miles made an appearance.

I will always love Miles character, I started watching degrassi when I was 15 and I had so much issues as a teen, especially with my mom. I related to miles, i saw him in me and me and him. I had issues with weed, then pills, and my mom was at times abusive and so was my brother. It was like Miles was telling my story.

Same with my mother and my father. My father abused me and hated me all the time he would hit when I was like five, now I’m thirteen and my mother is doing the same thing but the difference is that my mother buys me “love” so I won’t tell everyone that when she’s angry she hurts me. But my father hurt me whenever he felt like. Both called me names, my mum calls me fat and ugly and retarted because I have high functioning autism And my dad called me useless and worthless. I HATE THEM BOTH!!! I WANNA DIE OR THEM TO BE ERASED OFF MY LIFE!!! Sorry for that I just wanted to say I relate. Sorry tho

I always wanted Maya and Miles together. I actually began to hate Zig when he ruined their relationship in that Hoedown episode. Miles went to get Zig in a friendly manner and they totally clowned on him so he defended himself with the fake gun and Maya got all dramatic. And for what? For Zig to end up with Esme and leave Maya totally alone when she needed him most? I hate Zig tbh. He's always cheating and trying to steal other guys girlfriends.

Hell if you ask me his dad did nothing wrong. When he walked away and his dad pushed him into the wall that was an accident. He shouldn't have walked away from his dad. And then when his dad back handed him it was because he slapped his dad's hand away. I mean the story is miles is like 17 and he's going out of control. If I did that to my dad he would have done more than just back slapped me.

butterscotchpudding78 26625bb I think miles father reaction to what his son does are completely reasonable and actually not good enough his dad should have done more. His dad just gave him a back slap? It's sad because miles was at boarding school and his dad wasn't there to be a dad so when they live together his dad probably wasn't sure how he should handle discipline and slowly but surely miles got away with more and more to the point where he just snapped and back slapped miles. Honestly I think I would have done more than back slapping him once.
