Spent time behind Saquon Barley, he was overshadowed. While so many were busy hyping him up they forgot about Sanders. If he had been starting at a big program elsewhere he'd have been a top 20 pick easy, maybe top 15.

Josh Whelan lmao the nerve of them to hype up Saquon lma
@ets24464 жыл бұрын
Josh Whelan You’re a moron if you actually believe Sanders should’ve or would’ve been a first rounder. Time and time again it’s been proven that RBs don’t matter. No way in hell a GM with an brain would intentionally bleed value when they can get a RB round 2 like Jonathan Taylor or Dobbins

I know this was 4 years ago but you sound crazy as hell. He gets caught on every single play that he doesn’t score a touchdown…and by the first tackler almost EVERY time..with no real fight for extra yardage.

What's crazy is that in the first 3 games he couldn't find the right holes to run through, and he couldn't put together a complete performance at all. He was basically a backup, but after only half the season he became a star. Thats some crazy development.

Love this kid, no idea why he didn't go in the 1st round. One thing I noticed that early in the season (and the video since it looks to be chronological) Sanders was catching a lot of mid range to deep passes and was leaving the other teams LB in the dust. Teams must have smartened up and started putting a nickel corner or safety on him because you see the long passes all became running plays and screens. What I love is that he is successful doing both and is able to take whatever the defense is giving him. With all the speed guys now, they won't be able to use the S to cover Sanders since they have about 5 guys that run like a 4.2-4.4: Jalen Reagor - 4.22 or 4.47 Marquis Goodwin - 4.27 Desean Jackson - 4.35 John Hightower - 4.43 Quez Watkins - 4.35 I'm hoping that will give the entire offense room to breathe and guys like Ertz, Jeffrey, Goedert, and Sanders can be even more productive with less players within 20 yards of scrimmage. Doug should be able to come up with some good shit with all these guys pinging around the field like they have rockets strapped to them. (Still don't know how Hurts fits in, Philly Sports Network almost has been convinced the OC, QB Coach, and Dougy have some revolutionary ideas that will change offenses as we know it but I'm still skeptical...

@mikeo43434 жыл бұрын
@@NELL_SCORPIO When it comes down to the RB position there are all types of physiques out there. A RB's Skillset, Effectiveness and Durability is way more important than just physique alone. Granted, size does help but what counts is not necessarily the size of the dog in the fight; it's the size of the fight in the dog. Small but Great Running Backs Barry Sanders Darren Sproles Maurice Jones-Drew Brian Westbrook and more.... There are alot of RB's that are smaller than the average size for a RB these days. Now the role they play is solely based on how the offensive play calling is designed. Breaking tackles is a skillset not defined purely on size, neither is pounding it up the gut. A RB being versatile is what Up's his value, the question is can that RB be effective Durable with it. Being a One Trick Pony RB just doesn't cut it now & days because teams can easily come up with a scheme to stop that one player. Was Miles Sanders effective, Yes. Was Zeke, Yes. Was Saquan, Yes. The NFC East have alot of talent at the RB position even though each player is used differently. To each its own but we are not the scouting, player development or coaching staff. We get what they provide us with as fans. Speaking as a Die Hard Eagles Fan I am happy with what Philadelphia have made of Miles Sanders. Its only the beginning because he still haven't hit his ceiling yet and I cant wait to see that. Sky is the limit Fly Eagles Fly
