I’ll admit that he had me yelling at my TV last season. But I do think that he was playing through injury and clearly our O-line was Swiss cheese (though Chuba still managed to put down good yardage). I’m ready to see what he’s got with a much improved o-line, time to heal injuries and all new (and from the looks of it greatly improved) coaching staff.

I'm hoping this man has a resurgent year, but imo the money we gave him would have been better invested in other positions, and just made chuba the main focus in the backfield.

Too much hate! Dude was close with Coach Duce from last year. Had his whole expectation tainted with what happen last year. He knows he needs to work! Panther fans just want him to live up to the pay check..... that's all! But hating on a dude will never get the best out of them.

I felt the same way, but now I think if our o-line resembles a functional line, I think he'll be fine. He got loose a bunch in Philly behind a solid line.

He is a soft RB with mediocre vision who goes down to first contact 80% of the time and thinks he has Saquon agility but doesn’t. Its pretty common knowledge that my team’s Oline was the group that gave him those numbers

@@always.entertaining.people1396 I actually agree with you that the o-line allowed for him to thrive in 2022, but that's why I think he can be serviceable again in Carolina given our o-line upgrades going into this season. Granted he'll still have to compete with the other RB's for touches, but running behind this year's line "should" make it easier for him when he's on the field. "If" the o-line balls out, I don't see why he couldn't return to his 2022 form.

@@always.entertaining.people1396 thank our incompetant coaching staff last year that chose personal relationships over realizing the dude can’t operate in a downhill between the tackles under center type of offense. Truly was the start of my understanding this staff was a joke and full of ego.

He had a chance, he was horrible and lost his job. Chubba has already been declared the lead back. They traded up to draft his replacement in the 2nd round. The only reason he is still on the roster is because his 2024 salary is fully guaranteed, and it would actually cost money to cut him. Waste of cap space.
