oh hopefully it will happen after top gun Maverick's massive success. thought whiplash would elevate his career but finally it's happening for him. I heard he's great in that Paramount show making of the godfather show the offer. He's doing Scott Derrickson's next horror film the gorge so the tide is already changing for him.

I became a fan of Miles after Whiplash. As a jazz player myself, that film truly resonated with me as I had a trumpet teacher that was abusive and a perfectionist. He was also great in Maverick. I waited years for the sequel and was not disappointed. If he goes after bold roles that challenge him emotionally and physically... he can be one of the best actors of this generation.

Same with my daughter; she’s a saxophonist and fell in love with the movie Whiplash. Her school would always win championships, but of course that wouldn’t have been possible without an instructor that was a perfectionist.

definitely see it- I’m probably younger than most people who saw the original top gun (I still have yet to see it) and I don’t usually enjoy action films. my aunt had me go see top gun maverick with her and it really was a very enjoyable film with fun, heartfelt moments and wonderful performances from the lead actors. I was surprised!
