Well, it supposedly was set on Inferno, it had some characters of the book there appearing in roles that made no sense with the book, but aside from that it had nothing to do with the actual Dante's Inferno. I guess we should be thankful they didn't try to do Dante's Paradiso afterwards.

It's _way_ better than the first episode. Informational, educational, shows off every character, the gameplay, mechanics, history, endings, and great research. This is what I was hoping the series would become and I couldn't be happier. He didn't even shit on it cuz "lul Thrill Kill sucks", he gave actual thought to the game.

TBH I liked the first episode a hell of a lot. Probably liked it more than this one, not to say this was bad.

Isn't MK already corny before MK3 with all those extra limbs and body parts that appear after certain fatalities especially in Mileena's and Kitana's fatality. They were reusing fatalities eversince MK1 bro, only Kano had an original fatality there (let's just ignore Liu's cartwheel). Raiden, Cage and SZ had decapitations, only done different ways. Same as Sonya and Scorp having immolations.

Seriously. Eternal Champions: Challenge from the Dark Side predated Thrill Kill by over 3 years, and it has some of the most superbly-animated, impressively-gorey, wildly-over-the-top fatalities in any game in any generation. Made MK's stuff look absolutely tame by comparison. What I think got Thrill Kill its AO rating isn't the level of violence but the depth of aberration and depravity of its characters. Bunch of bonkers fighting games from the 90s lost to time. Eternal Champions, Primal Rage, Thrill Kill, and plenty more that Max and others have covered. Nowadays, your fighting game better be e-sports ready first and foremost, and only then after that can you worry about things like spectacle for the sake of spectacle. It's a little sad and constraining in a way. (Btw, Max and friends played Eternal Champions about 6 months after this video, so any of you who would like to see how all that violence and gore can go check that video out.)

yea. Even if you translate all the violence, sexuality and gore into modern graphics and presentation, it wouldn't be much worse than MKX and Bayonetta, or even Bloorayne. That said, a remake would be awesome! A little polish to streamline the mechanics, maybe larger arenas, environmental hazards, etc. It could pretty much become a bloody sexy Smash bros (or playstation all stars, since the kill meter system reminds me of the super meter from that one)!

Let's be real, if they remade Thrill Kill with today's graphics, more blood gore and sensuality is going to sell like water, now everyone is like "Fuck it, this world is fucked, I'm going to get a little bit more fucked up than I already am" and to be honest, I don't think that the "New thrill kill" would surpass the shock that "HATRED" brought to the table, you know the super edgy game with the dude that hates everyone and everything and goes out in a fucking massive purge to kill everyone in his path

Nobody loves gore over substance by any means, which unfortunately was the case with most hardcore games in the 90's. They focused on digitized graphics, trying to look more "Real" and more blood than actual gameplay. That said, Mortal Kombat (especially X) and Killer Instinct are CLASSICS
