I miss the whole teammates watching in the background thing. It gave you neat little things like Mary stomping her feet in anger when a teammate loses, Goro's teammates jumping up before he does his ground pound because they know it's coming, stuff like that. Fun fact about Shermie, she actually has the largest bust size out of all the ladies.

I love how both Kyo and Iori just has their backs toward the entire fight that Terry's on. Just look at the fight guys, no one is buying your too cool to look attitude.

It's heartbreaking to know that Max despises the two characters that I love and main the most. But at least his reaction at 33:39 makes up for it.

My first time playing KOF '97 was via the Orochi Saga collection for the Wii. It was a used copy, so when I noticed that the game didn't have much music I thought that there was something wrong with the disc. Then I found out that there was nothing wrong with it, that's how the game is.... I was rather surprised...

You need to play with Kyo, Iori and Chizuru to see the REAL ENDING and I promise you won’t disappointed 😊

It was always weird to me that this game didn’t have music throughout the stages, pretty much only leaders of teams had themes. Terry, Athena, Kyo, etc. (well outside of the “97 Special” Team, in that one Yamazaki, Billy, and Blue Mary all get their own themes from past games) At the same time tho I do sort of like it. The ambience sort of adds to the atmosphere of the game. I will say tho I was definitely disappointed in Orochi as a boss, his design was ehhh and he was too easy to beat, especially after coming up against guys like Rugal and Goenitz. He didn’t feel like he was as big of a threat even tho story wise he clearly was the strongest. Other than that tho I think ‘97 is great, especially gameplay wise.

The only characters with themes are the team leaders and the new characters, Kyo, Terry, Athena, Chris, Shermie, Yashiro, Billy, Mary, Yamazaki, Iori and Shingo

Reason for no music in 97 is because SNK want it to be more atmospheric The only curtain characters have themes: Terry Kyo Iori Athena Shingo Billy Blue Mary Yamazaki The New Faces team (Yoshiro, Shermie, and Chris.) And The Final Bosses.

"Gnarly! Let's go, Dudes!" didn't know Iori was a surfer dude.

I dream of Rock being included in KoF15, but his teammates being Kensou and Shingo (young guns team) just to torture Max through story mode.

I believe that this ending was just the generic one that everybody gets..... whenever they use a custom team instead of an official one. If you had used a Terry/Andy/Joe team or a Kyo/Goro/Benimaru team, then you'd have seen a partially-the-same, but unique regular ending for each team.

To me the king of fighters has the best fighting game music of all times. I love listening to the music Everytime I play the king of fighters games.

If you play KOF games with custom teams, you get the gibberish ending.

It's a shame that he isn't in the base difficulty. So many lost chances at boss rages. Also, reason that Billy threatens Iori is because in 95, they were partners, Iori lost it, and kicked Billy's ass

Yeah despite this huge build-up Orochi, ended up as one of the considered easiest boses of kof games next to Zero from Kof 2000.

I would've liked to see the three sacred treasures ending (Kyo, Iori and Kagura) but then again, this is Terry Legacy.

Considering how much the Real Bout series remixed or re-used older tracks, I'm shocked this game doesn't. Which is a shame, because I love the stages and overall UI of this game.

Once the legacy is finished I hope someone puts together every "Max bullies Andy" moment, the voice kills me every time.

I can understand that Max doesn't get Terry's finals when the game asks you to make a lot of requirements to get them (like Fatal Fury 3), but when you literally just have to choose Andy and Joe, I don't understand why he doesn't... In dream match games, since they have no history, I have no problem with Max using the characters he wants. (98 and 2002), but in those who have history he should play with the Fatal Fury team to see Terry's story.
