One of the things I can't forgive Miles for: an artist demanding another artist to give up their axe for their vanity. That's just irreconcilable to me. The man's a genius, and I still love his music...but that's something I can't let go.

To be that close to that much talent has to be overwhelming, suffocating and addictive. I think it gets to a point where you're no longer in love with the person, but their gift, talent, ability. You want to be as close to it as you can. Miles Davis was THE trumpet player. The best there ever was or will be. Kind of Blue alone is enough to make you just gasp for air. Miles was to immature and jealous with his first wife. He didn't have the game to deal with a woman who was bad in her own right. He should of had the foresight to encourage her and support her career. Instead he had a heavy hand. In today's society they would of been a power couple. Some men who are successful and famous, don't want a woman whose independent and successful. They want her in the background where as they get all the shine. That's why you see some famous guys who have money marry strippers or woman who depend on them financially. You know the rub, control freaks.
