This very special moment was a total surprise at the Beale Street Music Festival. We had only known Miley Cyrus was coming for about a day and Marc Cohn just wasn't announced at all. Such an amazing moment. I'd been waiting to hear Marc perform this song live for so long living in this area but it just doesn't happen often (read his Wikipedia to see why, he was actually shot in the head at one point during a carjacking, wow). Made me so happy!! Normally I have a camera that I record these with but unfortunately it broke after 9 years of concert recordings today so I had to record this iconic moment with my cellphone. I do hope better video/audio surfaces somewhere. In the meantime, here this is recorded by me from the audience with my cell. I'll be sharing a number of performances recorded from the audience from the Beale Street Music Festival 2019 right here on bigconcertfan.com so please subscribe to my KZfaq channel here and like/follow us on your other favorite social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc). Also please see a gofundme set up for my mom. She was initially given 2 years to live. That was 3 years ago but she still needs your help more than ever. See www.gofundme.co... for more info

@@BigSplenda1885 I feel you 100% on that..... then I heard the respect she had for this melody. I still dislike her....but she did not harm this song, and she sang it from a place within her heart.....doesn'ttmake me like her, but I gotta give credit when credit is due

I got here because of my love for miley. And I just KNOW that she knows how indescribable and important this moment is. Singing one of the greatest songs ever written with a legend who has never dueted it?!?! She's not taking this for granted and you can tell.

Ty @bigconcertfan for this upload. I'm from the era when FM radio offered college campuses air time. We could discover audible gold if we were tenacious. Marc Cohn was my personal best payoff for leaving the car running cuz a song hadn't finished. Oh hell yeah to those days~!

@M A That's exactly my point, people judge her mostly on her past (like you did) but she has a heart of gold.. She created her own charity, is always donating to charities, she loves animals (that's pure love) is always speaking out about the sensitive things some celebs are scared to even mention.. She's an amazing woman, shame on you for not recognising that.. And for focusing on the few times she fucked up😒

1 billion dollars worth of misunderstood. Does as she pleases cuz she can afford to. Changes her mind and behavior because she's a true artist. Not misunderstood, just not a typical country singer stuck in a box. She's a gem.

@@richardmindemann6935 Hmm, added to that is watching and listening to her perform might corrupt young children's minds. C'mon, what little girl didn't want to be like Hanna Montana ? I wonder how many out of the millions of young girls that watched that "PROGRAM" back in the day were shocked by her sudden transformation in her later years or, how many became corrupt and, continued following her example ? Even her very own dad was shocked and, disappointed at how Hollywood changed his daughter. Am I correct ? Look at my original post. It's been years ago. Yet not a single person has given it a "thumbs up". Isn't it obvious that just maybe "Miley" (real name Destiny Hope Cyrus) affected her audience in some way ? After all, they do call them T.V. Programs for a reason.

Thank god for sane, like minded individuals. We live in a generation where u can be a musician by winning a tv show i stead of learning a craft & honing it. Not to mention the pussification of todays society where criticism & telling people to nut up & work just dont exist. Shes no dummy tho, she screams support about pot & fags & thus lies the foundation for a mega fanbase. Remember when musicians were actually good at music?
