The closest we will get to that is a live version on streaming platforms, which I’m fine with. But to release a solo studio version would be disrespectful to Dua. Miley wouldn’t do that.

In every modern singer, I see an influence. Adele is influenced by Rihanna in the emotionality she puts into her singing and by Taylor Swift in the themes of her songs. Dua Lipa is influenced by Rihanna in that she lets her thick tone shine in her comfort zone without going much higher or lower than that. Ariana is influenced by Beyonce with the vibrato heavy powerhouse vocals and the incredible full band dancing on stage But Miley, Miley is her own influence. Her only influence is the school of hard knocks in discovering who she is.

This is all i wanted.. 🙏 Miley singing this song solo. And as expected, much better. Dua lipa is a good artist. But miley is on a whole other level. Her voice has matured so much and this 80's vibe is her genre now. Also her technique is much better. As where dua sings pretty much straight forward, miley plays with the lyrics and pronounciations.
