Truly loved her take on this song. The original reveals the melancholy of loving someone in a dark place. Miley’s version, with her deep and powerful voice, reveals the anger and frustration of the same situation.

She was born to sing this. Hurt goes full circle. One girl leaves off, another takes their place. Somebody said, I don’t remember the quote, but women in their kindness and in taking on shame, the world, words and everything ; women will rule the world. As a man, I think that’s quite alright. It’s hard to be anybody in this world. If just for a second we consider someone else, we start healing. We start listening. Goodness, she sings this so true

You don’t have to love her. Everyone’s entitled to their own opinions. But this woman has grown into her voice SO MUCH. And she has something many performers don’t, and that’s incredible CONTROL over her vocals live. Not many can sing live so solid and confidently. She’s really done everything to care for her voice and it just is getting better with age.

How is it funny? The definition of being a fan is subjective to many, you can appriciate one or a few things about an artist without directly supporting them. Some people listen to her out of curiosity and may not have completely formed an opinion yet. You don't have to label yourself a "fan" after liking a few songs or enjoying this cover. Personally I stumbled here, decided to give her a chance and I prefer the original. Although her voice has improved since the last time ive heard it, I still don't like her singing/music.

Since I was 13, Miley has been my idol. My entire room as a teenager was COVERED in Miley posters. I remember when she starting rebelling, the media and paparazzi ripped her apart. Mostly everyone was disgusted by her. But I didn’t care, I still supported her. Im now 28 years old. Im glad to say I literally grew up WITH her. My obsession of her died down (which was a good thing bc It was getting kinda scary LOL), but I always kept up with Miley and what she was up to. I look back and I’m proud of myself, for not listening to everybody else, telling me she was “crazy” or “going down the wrong road.” She’s on top now. She honestly always has been. I’ll admit to not knowing the song until I heard Miley sing it in the Tiny Desk concert & it blew me away! If it was available to buy, I think myself & a lot of others would be grabbing it ASAP Her voice has changed, partly with age, partly with singing, partly with no doubt a lot of drugs & booze & talking, loudly! But I didn’t know until recently she had an issue with her throat, that she points at having played a part in it as well. I can get how all that would do it, done a lot of it too, way too much, but I also had surgery & was put on life support, I had a ventilator for months, via a tracheotomy as my lungs collapsed. So my throat was cut open & I had plastic ventilator parts in there with forced air intake. Before that I never had a great voice, but I could talk & sing, & I could breathe, now that’s all changed, my breathing won’t let me sing like I used to be able to, not even talk & my voice has changed a LOT. Strangely it altered my tastebuds too & I like stuff I never used to. I know how it affected me as an everyday person, how it must of affected her when her voice is HER, it’s not just what comes out when she opens her mouth, it’s how she expresses herself, not just to others, but to herself, it’s like a vocal personality, & it’s also how she pays the bills, it’s her job. I can imagine when it all first started happening it must of been overwhelming for her to cope with, & she must always wonder now if it’s all good, or if something else may happen. But she’s made the brilliant best out of what might of floored lesser artists, she’s embraced the changes, pulled them in, looked at them, said “now we’re doing this, that, & I’m the damn boss, always” & whatever emotions vocal cords may have, they sucked it up & obeyed like champions! I love her voice, it’s hers & hers alone & nobody is ever going to be able to do a cover & sound like she does. ❤🎶❤️🎶

Shockingly good!! I LOVED the angst and power at the end. Mazzy Star's version has been on my favorites playlist for decades. You did them proud.

What a beautiful singer. Miley is so amazingly blessed by God with her angelic vocal ranges! Miley really can sing every thing!!! I’m very impressed by her because I never watched her Hanna Montana shows , until I viewed 2 of her Hanna films a few months ago. She is a total performer😎and a very beautiful, intelligent, and personable woman. And I thank her for her hard work & dedication to her profession. But most of all sharing her music with all of us, I’m happy I discovered her music. 🙏 for her to be happy and healthy. ☮️🌹🙂💕
